I say if you think you are too old for pokemon you need to be smacked with a 2x4 and go "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR BUTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Still the show and games can get quite repetitive but I do dig some consistency.

I wish that the game series was more like PBR in that you can customize your own trainer rather than be some little 12 year old in the game. I'm 18 and I love to stomp 12 year old that think there lv 100 shiny Dialga + Palkia is unstoppable Then 1HKO there entire team with my EVed Lugia and Ho-oh.

Yea,the show is nice for a while, but even if you "overgrow" the show, (LOL) the games are still freakin' AWESOME!!!

I second that. I've lost interest in the show a long time ago, but not the games.

You can never be too old for pokemon.

I'm 17 and I've been playing the game since like, Christmas in 1999 (got Yellow Version when I was 7).

I feel really old in these discussions ^_^" I'll be hitting 20 this year and here I am playing Platinum along with all my Pokemon plushies <3 I really don't think there's an age cap on Pokemon, so long as you're having fun you're not to old.

I'm fifteen, and yeah many people seem to look at me weirdly when I say I still play pokemon. But I'm cool with that, it's nothing wrong, nothing bad, and I have friends that play too. If you enjoy something and it isn't harmful, I say go for it.

I'm 18 years old and also a senior in high school. And I honestly admit, every weekday I record episodes of Pokemon on my DVR when I'm in class, then I can watch them whenever I please when I get home. lol! So yes, I consider myself one of the older fans somewhat, but I'm not going to let my age force me to lose interest in the amazing pocket monsters. No, not a chance.

Never. Well, maybe when you can't push the buttons anymore. But then you can still watch the anime!

i just turned 13, ive been playing/loving pokemon since i was born, and my friends like pokemon. i think no one watches the anime anymore cuz of the VAs (SOVA!!! :P) some people single us out, callling us babies, gay, :censored: :censored: , etc. but we just ignore them. it's almost as if its been going on for so long that it doesnt faze me anymore. heck, i want to meet veronica taylor even (whoops..... *blushes*) this is controversial, but i know for a fact that the kids that tease us pokefans probably curl up every weekend to watch the anime, they play the games (see comment on "hiding pokemon games when friends come over"), etc., but theyre to insecure to admit it. this takes courage, but i say that we stand up and declare thats its OK!

all i can think of this old TV show where one episode the main char. stood up for themself (literally) fand for what they believe in (it was almost exactly for this reason).

whoa, i got all MLK jr-ish there.... cool! :D

I'm a 18 year freshman in college and I know plenty of people my age that still play. The rating says it all E for Everyone :D

How old? You dare ask how old is TOO old? Too old is when your body is much too frail to move... which means that you will die if you so much as think of pokemon. THAT is too old. After all, I'm 15 years old, and I've gotten many of my classmates in my AP Calc class to pick up their GBC's and play. One 'tough guy' from my class has platinum! Omg, so unexpected!!! And, I have been playing Pokemon for a good part of my life. Basically, I've seen every episode without fail. Yeah. That long. Do the math. I started pokemon when I was in DAIPERS!!! Oh, and someone mentioned that pokemon=anime. I RESENT THAT!!!! >:-O ANIME is NOT AIMED AT LITTLE KIDS!!! ITS THE STUPID 4KIDS MAKING IT ALL AMERICANIZED!!! REAL ANIME IS FOR TEENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, my rant is over. Yes, I still watch the show. Having Dawn on the show made me realize how much I loved Misty and May.

I no longer watch the anime, I don't keep up with the movies, but I play the games. I love the games, they're just well done. I bring my DS to school and me and my friends battle at lunch. I'm in High School. Nobody makes fun of us, because secretly, they all play it too. there is no "too old for pokemon."

I just found out that my friends' thirty/forty something mom still plays on a daily basis, so...no age limit really.

I'm 19. I've been playing since I was 8 (Pokemon Yellow) and still love the games.

I don't think you're too old for Pokemon. For one thing, it is good for all ages. No blood is shown, the closest thing to intercourse is Pokemon breeding. Kids, teens, adults, old people, you name it, there is a trainer based on it, so there can be no controversy (Which usually affects popular games).

So no you're never too old!

I never think about the age limit for Pokemon.
When I was very young, it was actually my dad who taught me how to play the games!

The deal with Pokemon, in my opinion, is that Pokemon is the game that can get better and better with age. When I first played Pokemon with the Blue version, I instantly fell in love. However, I had no clue really how to play well. I remember my first ever Pokemon, squirtle later evolving into blastoise, his final moveset I had for him in that version was: Ice Beam, Blizzard, Hydro Pump, Surf.

I got better as I went on. But not until about the time of the third generation did I discover the importance of such things as Effort Values, Natures, and how Pokemon can be a "Spec. Sweeper, Phys. Sweeper, Tanks, etc."
With the discovery of that I have learned to love Pokemon in a completely new way. The idea of "raising" a Pokemon has taken on a whole new meaning and expanded that game to me in a whole new way.

Now with the introduction of new technology and the expansion of the internet and its accessibility, Pokemon has become a global connection and expanded the world of Pokemon to no ends.

So the answer truly is, there is no age limit to Pokemon. I am currently seventeen and I believe I will continue to love Pokemon in my later years.
