Ok this maybe necromancy because it was an old post but I tried it to see if it worked and it does. What this is is a glitch to get all three of the starters in GSC without trading or anyhting. It is really easy as long as you follow these 11 steps ok.

1) After you talk to Elm to get your Starter save (Save BEFORE you get the starter)

2) Pick any starter you want

3) Play the game through until you go back to Elm and get the 5 Pokeballs

4) Catch 2 Pokemon on your way back to Cherrygrove city

5) Now deposit 1 Pokemon you caught and the STARTER into the PC

6) Now change boxes, and when it says saving... dont turn off the power turn it off here : SAVING...(TURN OFF HERE) DONT TURN OFF....

7) If this was done correctly you will be in the LAB (STILL DONT SAVE)

8) Pick a NEW STARTER and head back to Cherrygrove.

9) Go to the PC and withdraw the Caught Pokemon and deposit your other Starter.

10) Repeat steps 6, 7, and 8

11) You should now have your third starter, go back to Cherrygrove and withdraw your other 2 starters, Now you may save the game!!

And that is all you have to do to get all three GSC starters. I realize this should go in the Johto section but I KNOW it will NOT be seen and many people will find this interesting!!! I know I did!!!

This sounds awesome. It's especially great if you don't have another game where you can breed eggs and trade them over.
