I've been watching some of the 1980's episodes of "The Transformers" and I've noticed many things that could be references to Transformers, and most of them have something to do with Registeel.

Like Registeel's cry sounds very close to the transformation sound.
And then, in R/S, you use the move Fly, which is something most of the transformers could do.

Also, Registeel resembles a highly-advanced robot, and has a color scheme that is somewhat remeniscent of Megatron.

Your thoughts?

the point is that using Fly to unlock Registeel's tomb is a quite unusual HM to use, and it may be related to the fact that most Transformers can fly.

Actually in Emerald the HM requirements for the Regis were changed.
Instead of going 2 paces down and 2 paces right then using Strength for Regirock, you go 2 down and 2 left, then use Rock Smash.
For Regice you need to run a lap around the room's perimeter in Emerald, while in RS you just stare at the message for a long time. Like 2 minutes.
And for Registeel you use Flash in Emerald instead of Fly.
The Regis dungeons are weird like that. And in Emerald, whenever you run from a legendary, it says that it flew away.

'The Registeel flew away!'

So, why can't he learn Fly?
