Which came first, the pokemon that created time , or the pokemon that created all pokemon . its the chicken or the egg for Pokemon, I say Arceus came first.

Well while it is true in the terms of the Pokemon world that Arceus did come first, since it is a God, and know as The Original One (Text on the Plates). (No question there) But Ho-oh did create the three ledgendary dogs from the elements that destroyed the tower that Lugia once reside: Suicune, from the storm and wind that headed to the tower; Raikou, from the lightning from the storm that struke the tower; and Entei, from the fire from the lightning that burnt the tower to the ground.

Yes, Arceus created Everything. But not pokemon. Mew is the Mother of all pokemon. The Goddess. Arceus created land, Habitat. Mew created Pokemon to shape the Land with thier power. See Regigigas Dex entry "Pulled conteinents with ropes". Mew created pokemon, and they did the rest.But mew didnt create all pokemon, she created just the first Evolutionary form. And didnt create Entei,Raikou and Suicune, as Ho-oh did.

The order of how things came to be in the Pokemon World...

1) Arceus created the Universe along with Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina to keep the balance of the Universe.

2) Arceus created the elements of solid, liquid, and gas in the Universe, which gave birth to Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza.

3) Arceus then created Mew, the first Pokemon to exist in the World it created. All other Pokemon came after.

I think Ho-oH came first. And I still believe Mew should be the God Pokemon.

Why do people think the anime is relevant to the games? It's as if it's completely impossible for people to realize the two take place in separate continuities.

Read Ho-oh's Pokedex entries. It didn't create crap. Arceus is the God of all Pokemon, and the only possible Pokemon that could even have a chance at predating it is Mew because the latter has the DNA of all Pokemon. And even that is pretty weak evidence so, yeah, Arceus it is.

Arceus came first, then Mew, then Ho-oh.

And Ho-oh DID create the three legendary dogs. He created them from three Pokemon that perished in the flames when the tower was attacked, he did.

...that's just stupid. The anime was based on the games, not the other way round. And if the games were based on the anime, I'd stop playing.

Anyway, the question is pretty crap if you think about it. It's Pokemon, the canonisation (lol made up word) doesn't necessary have to run through the games. I mean, the last few Pokemon of each generation are legends, and ideas about creation are what they are based on. I mean, you have Kyogre and Groudon, warring over the continents and the seas, so they're sort of like Gods.

I think it's just another way to make this generation better than the last.

Although, the Chinese creation myth said that Pan Ku came out of an egg floating in the void, and from it sprung forth a Turtle, Phoenix, Unicorn and Dragon. Ho-oh? (Though where Rapidash, Salamence and Blastoise fit in is unknown to me. [/taking this game too seriously.]

More like the anime, more moves more places, not just the legends and the giant dragonite.

Here's how I see it:
-Arceus created Mew
-Mew created Ho-oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Raquaza, Regigigas, etc.
-Arceus created the legendary dragons ( {girantina} )
-They did the rest. (and Ho-oh created the three dogs)

All evolved from micro-organisms. End of
