Artemis/Azure/Athena all are female godesses. What I do it pick an ancient greek/roman god that starts with the same letter as the pokemon and that is the same gender so: Heracross - Hercules Zapdos - Zues Arcanine - Ares |

Personally, I hate nicknaming and never do unless Iaccidentally hit yes when it asks me if I want to nickname. If I do that, then I just nickname it its actual name and if it evolves I change it to its new form. |

You don't have to write the pokemon's name all over again, I you don't write anything it will keep it's name(and change it when it envolves) And, psycho_freak, thanks, I'm gonna call her Ares!! ![]() |

Ares is a god. Wouldn't Artemis work better for a female? Also, I didn't name the female Scyther after Venus the goddess. I named it Venus after the women's razor brand. |

Personally, I named my Sceptile "Solaris". Sol = sun, and Sunny Day improves Solarbeam, which is a Grass-type attack. |

What an extraordinary coincidence, Saturn... My Kyogre is actually named Charybdis......... Groudon is Scylla, even though it has no resemblance to her whatsoever. But still, how odd... O.o |
