I think the "beat the game" song should be "Rock Star" by Nickelback. What about you?

Instrumentals are so much more effective, and not only that, but Rockstar isn't even that great of a song. ;[
And why aren't there any more choices? I've never heard 3 Doors Down, but they don't seem that good, so I don't plan on it.

The title theme should be The Light and the Glass by Coheed and Cambria.
And the rest of the soundtrack should just be a live stream of The Mars Volta improvising.

Eww.. Pokemon would totally loose their effect if some wannabe bands would use it, Isn't it enough that youtubers use hard rock when getting DRIFLOON for crying out loud!? NO thank you!

There shouldn't be a specific genre style towards Pokemon, the mood of the area depends largely on the music, so 'Nickelback' would hardly capture the moment when you're told your mum's got cancer. (I don't think that's in future games that's just a staple point.)
Besides loads of people wouldn't like the music no matter what you put on.
You should just put on your own music if you don't like the current music.

If they took away the traditional style music, I'd buy five copies of the game just so I could spit on each. While overall Pokemon is repetitive, the Pokemon Center theme song should be included in every game. It's a video game, not an action film.
Nintendo games usually follow the trend of cool instrumental theme music anyway.

This would never happen, for a variety of reasons:
1. It's a kids' games, aimed at preteens. Nintendo would get a serious mauling from parent groups if they included rock music, which has such delightfully morally pure lyrics as:
Quote: 'Cause we all just wanna be big rockstars
And live in hilltop houses driving fifteen cars
The girls come easy and the drugs come cheap
We'll all stay skinny 'cause we just won't eat
2. Game Freak are Japanese. Thus, even if they did put in commercial music in, it'd probably be j-rock/j-pop.
That said, the bicycle theme should be replaced by any Motorhead song.
