Teleportation, simple, less time used for the transport, less chance to get an accident.

Riding on an Animal. They keep you company, and if they die, you can put the future Grand Master of the Jedi in their guts :3 Tauntauns rule like that. Close second would be Lightcycle.

I added Subspace Travel to the list. Anybody who's read the Scott Pilgrim novels knows about Subspace.
