When I was 3 or 4 my aunt bought my gramma (my gramma was a bad ass gamer) a NES for Christmas. It came with Super Mario Bros, so naturally that was the first video game I ever played. That moment changed my life forever because I became addicted to video games.

In first grade, my cousins showed me their N64 with Mario Kart 64. I remember I cried if I couldn't be Toad.

Pokemon Gold, I stole it from my friend, because he went to the bathroom and it was calling to me.
When I first started playing, I got so confused cause apparently you can set little squirrels on fire and you wouldnt be called out for it

It goes like this, the first game I've ever played was PROBABLY Galaga. The first game I ever owned was Super Mario World(GBA) and Pac-Man(color). The first game that made me really into video games was Pokemon Emerald. Ah, so many GBA memories, I wish my cousin would find my purple GBA already and give it back

I played some game with Stone Cold Steve Austin in it. That game started me off and turned me into a major gamer. I later got my parents to buy us every game system invented by Nintendo. Back when the Sp's came out and the GBA, along with all of the other things that kept my happiness going. Ill played every single game of Mario as well. Amazing!!
Games are just amazing.

Funny you say that, because the Nintendo 64 got its ass whooped by the PlayStation in the late 90's and it's Nintendo's most least successful console to date besides the Gamecube (which was an awful console anyway.) I won't even mention the handhelds, all of which outsold the Nintendo 64 by at least 25 million.
P.S. this is a thread that asks you to explain the first game you played, not the first console.
:)

Well offically I remember a game called "Jazz Jack rabbit." The first console game that I can recall playing was the Star Wars Pod Racer game for the N64. It's a little fuzzy, but I got it, along with my N64 for x-mas. It actually was probably the only racing game that I've ever liked apart from the Mario Kart.

Pac-man. On Atari 2600.
According to my parents it's all I wanted from Santa that year. I was like 5.
Ahh the good old days. Buy a console, get a game and 2 controllers.

I think it was Bug's Life for GBC. Maybe I'll pull it out and attempt to play it.

Mine was either Spyro the Dragon (the original) or Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, both for the Sony PS. I actually never had an N64 or played many games for it, so I can't contribute to that discussion much. I did love my PS1 though, and I was actually a big fan of the GameCube. I know not a lot of people liked it, but I play more GCN games on my Wii than actual Wii games.
