I was going through my old Gameboy games, and found Super Mario Land. I bought SML2 at a pawn shop a few days ago, and thought it was Gold. Definitely worth the few bucks I paid for it.
Anyway, I was reading reviews on Super Mario Land 1 (at Gamespot), and noticed how many reviews went like this. "bad graphx & it iz impossible. dood do not play this gaem its teh suxx0rs."
I think a game that was made in the late 80's for a handheld should be excused of all graphic flaws, especially a game as good as SML1 was. Now...I don't find this game difficult at all. If you think SML is difficult, how is SMB NOT difficult for you? I know SML2 is superior in all ways to SML (except the music, it really blows), but I still consider SML a great game. Also, SML2 is probably the best GB game I've ever played excluding Pokemon.
Any opinions? I don't really expect any intelligent replies (or any replies at all considering the age group here), but it's worth a try I guess.

Gamespot members are so critical on "ood graphicz" (pardon the z in graphicz, but it is just emotion)
Sml was so good back in the days, but "the good old days"(which i was born when they started) are like almost forgotten
