Post subject: | Guidelines regarding writing Movie Reviews |
I encourage everybody who watches movies to write reviews about movies he/she liked or disliked, but in order for it to be nice and organized, the following is a short set of guidelines regarding writing movie reviews: 1. This link will lead you to a list of all the movie reviews, for your convenience, so that you won't have to sort through all the threads here looking for them. This thread is updated every time a review is posted. 2. If your review includes spoilers, make sure you write in big, bold letters at the very top of the message, before the reveiw: "SPOILERS AHEAD!". Another option is to conceal the spoiler text by colouring it the "invisible" colour, or the colour of the forum background (Which is #003E5E), and then writing before the spoiler text something like "Spoilers ahead, highlight text to read". 3. Try to be as detailed as possible. Explain exactly what you liked and disliked in the movie. Reviews consisting of lines like "this movie is really good because it's cool, go see it" won't be considered official. 4. Reviews should be at least 250 words long. Reviews that look something like this, and no more: "Madagascar is a good movie, it has great animation and it's funny, you should go see it. I give it 9/10." won't be considered official. Thank you for your time, and again, we would like to encourage everyone to write movie reviews! |
