I'm just wondering, is there anybody out there that likes classical music, or am I still the only one on earth?

I actually find Classic music okay but I personally don't listen to it except when someone else is listening to it which is somewhat often...& I can even tolerate it being up loud as hell which is rare for me...

I love Classical music and even Contemporary Classical, with people in that category as John Williams. Classical music and Contemp Classical is very good for thinking. It has been proven that one does think and work better if they listen to orchestral works, such as Mozart, Beethoven, and The London Philharmonic Orchestra. I myself love the classics my favorite classical composer being Beethoven, and my favorite Contemp Classical being John Williams.

Yeah, i like some on in the background when im doing German homework. Anything else seems to distract me. And cause me to sing along.

Anything out of Russia/ Former Soviet states (Rachmaninoff) or Germany (Bach, Handel) holds a special place in my heart.

I just got an album of The Planets and I must say, I'm loving it!
P.S. Rachmaninoff is my favorite of all time

Yes! Classical music is . . . well . . . classic! Some of my favorites:
Edvard Grieg (especially the Peer Gynt suite)
Mozart (can't really go wrong with Wolfgang)
Bach
Brahms
Vivaldi
Rachmaninoff
Wagner ("Die Walkure" is a must of course, but so is "Tristan und Isolde")
Puccini (some of the best operas going, really!)
And of course - Strauss for waltzes
And for something different, try the symphonies of Borodin

It's okay, I suppose.
Sure, I'm okay with listening to it, and will once in a blue moon, but it's not something that I can listen to all the time.
Moonlight Sonata - Beethoven is my favorite though. I remember the first time I heard it was in an 'O Canada' promo on Cartoon Network back in the 90s. Never DID get to watch that show since it aired at 12am - 1am. And I was too young to stay up all night.
Fur Elise - Mozart
Dance of the Reed Flutes - Tchaikovsky
Russian Dance - Tchaikovsky
Carol of the Bells/Ukrainian Bell Carol - Leontovych
are also others that I listen too.

Yes, I like the classics, they help me think and focus, and I don't care what volume it's being played at.

Classical music is nice to listen to sometimes, but it can get annoying if it's the only thing you listen to. I listen to it maybe one or two days a week. Anything by Beethoven sounds good to me ^^

For me, CLASSICALS are good. I even like more classicals than today's rock music. Maybe because I'm just a big fan of Frederic Chopin.
Here, you can also check this out: http://www.magle.dk/music-forums/4228-classical-music-really-better.htmlThanks!

I don't listen to classical music a lot, but when I do, it's either Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" or "Eroica". They're both awesome.
