May I add on: Don't ditch night shade. Since seismic toss is fighting, you need a ghost attack to take out all types but normal. Everything alse I agree on.

I sort of agree with him about ditching Seismic Toss and keeping Night Shade. If you meet a Ghost type with only Super Fang and Seismic Toss, you're screwed, but having Super Fang and Night Shade covers that weakness. Still, Super Fang is unable to KO anything quickly because its damage keeps halving, so you can try something else if you want to.

ye thx water master for correcting my mistake
i figured that out myself like the second i posted it so i had it edited to say ditch seismic toss, but maybe u beat me to it haha
im still looking for a nice zapdos moveset tho
wat i had before was:
 @ miracleberry
t-wave
t-bolt
hidden power(ice)
reflect
im kinda relooking that cuz i dont get a chance to use reflect that much and am kinda wondering how to fit drillpeck or even steel wing into the scheme...maybe hidden power water even?
anyway i have gameshark so i can shark it any moves i like (even hidden power moves) but i only shark legal moves.

There's the Thunder-Dance combo,
Zapdos @ Miracle Berry/Brightpowder/Leftovers
Thunder
Rain Dance
HP Water
Thunder Wave/Drill Peck
Start with Rain Dance, followed by Thunder, if Thunder isn't very effective, use HP Water, though you're stuck with the Grass Types if you pick Thunder Wave though you could do Drill Peck.
This is also like my Surfing Raichu just it has Surf instead of HP Water.
EDIT: I have a couple of pokes that still need a rate for, that I haven't posted,
M @ Mint Berry
Razor Leaf
Body Slam

Drill Peck
Steel Wing

It's happiness is pretty low, and it's already at LV. 100 so i can't get Return to do good damage.

im not a rater, but again, am offering some suggestions...
@ Quick Claw (cuz of its low speed stat)
EQ
Rock Slide
Explosion (just in case)
Seismic Toss (reliable attack and screws up any tank or defensive buffs)
@ Focus Band (to survive those strong electrics or if u're forced to leave gyarados in the fight: which is a good idea if ur playing in set mode even if ur not trapped)
Surf
Ice Beam
Body Slam (strange, psypoke's dex does not list this as part of gyarados' learnset, but i remember having it on him even when i was playing on stadium 1)/T-bolt if no body slam
Hyper Beam (im more offensive cuz thats how u win in stadium's extremely difficult fights. sumtimes u just cant/dont want to switch out if playing "set"; hyperbeam capitalizes on the monster's insane attack stat and can help u surprise an electric foe by surviving his first attack with focus band and paying him back a shatload of damage)
is good because rest/mint berry capitalizes on its relatively high HP, but i would definitely not recommend shadow ball. Vaporeon has abysmally low attack, which is wat ghost moves are made of. Replace shadow ball instead with acid armor which can quickly raise Vaporeon's low defense stat and help it survive continuous rests.
and that's my 2 cents worth...

Ok thanks, I'll put Acid Armor, I actually had Bite, not Shadow Ball, but I think Acid Armor will work well and I'll try that set for Golem.
For I think i'll put Body Slam and T-Bolt on there, Hyper Beam doesn't really work well on any poke, except , but that's a different generation. I don't ever leave gyarados up against an electric poke or even a poke that I suspect to have T-Bolt, so I think i'll put Lefties.
paper, sNOw, WPM and Nido, go ahead and rate the others, I still need some help with and a couple others.

 @scope lens
~Earthquake

~Return/Selfdestruct
~Curse
Curse since his speed is already super lame, then physical sweep.

i need a little help deciding some items (held)
attract/sunny day
hidden power
psychic
morning sun
return
sunny day
flamethrower
solarbeam
the trick is i cant have duplicate items on my team (stupid stadium rule) and leftovers, miracleberry, focus band, and quick claw are used up by umbreon, zapdos, suicune, and steelix, respectively. i have in mind king's rock, bright powder, or scope lens, but i dont know which should go on which pokemon (entei or espeon). plz help

Ah, King's Rock and Scope Lens, two of my favorite items. I'd try out King's Rock on Entei and Scope Lens on Espeon, and if they don't work out the way you would like them, try switching them.

cool papersun. i will try those items in stadium 2 and see how i fare...
im still hesitant about the espeon moveset tho. i figured female attract would be deadly off the bat, but that would mean a dv of 1 in attack and a horrible hidden power. i also want something a bit different, so can someone plz rate this premature, maybe even stupid, moveset idea for espeon:
 @ brightpowder
attract
psychic
swagger
morning sun
the idea: lockdown, psychic, and heal
the weak points: no versatility in raw attacks leaves it wide open to pokemon resistant to psychic: namely

 M @ Mint Berry
Razor Leaf
Body Slam
EQ
Rest
You can try Synthesis, Sunny Day, Solarbeam, Leech Seed/Toxic. Alternatively, if you want to keep EQ and Body Slam, remove Razor Leaf and get Swords Dance (only in Crystal I think).
 @ Mint Berry
Drill Peck
Steel Wing
Thunderbolt
Rest
Good enough.
 M @ Mint Berry
EQ
Rock Slide
open spot
Rest
One of my fav Pokemon! Looks fine. I'll put Explosion in the open slot, it's a good move that can possibly take out your opponent's strongest Pokemon with it.
 M @ Mint Berry
Surf
Ice Beam
Shadow Ball
Rest
Shadow Ball? It could work, but I'm for Acid Armor, which makes it much tougher. Alternatively, if you lack a hazer, you can try Haze.
 M @ Mint Berry
Sludge Bomb
Twineedle
Giga Drain
Rest
Looks okay, but you might want to try Agility over Rest or Giga Drain.
M @ Brightpowder
Attract
EQ
Rock Slide
Sludge Bomb
Looks okay too
 M @ Mint Berry
Rock Slide
EQ
open spot
Rest
Pity it can't learn Brick Break, which is a RSE move. I'll put Return in the open slot.
 M @ Mint Berry
Surf
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Rest
You sure you don't want a physical one? It's more effective you know... anyway this is pretty standard for a special attacking moveset for Gyarados.
 @ Mint Berry
EQ
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Rest
Personally I like having only physical attacks on Nidoqueen, even though its Attack is only slightly better than its Special Attack. So you can try moves such as Body Slam, Shadow Ball and Return.
 M @ Mint Berry
Surf
Strength
Shadow Ball
Rest
Focus on physical moves to make use of its better Attack stat. If you can't use Return, try Headbutt over Strength; I kinda like its flinching effect. You can also try non-damaging moves like Attract, Double-Team and Toxic.

Yeah it's Crystal only, at least I won't have to breed, since I can shark it. I'll try the physical set.
I never really liked the Sunny Beam sets for Grass types, since a fire attack can OHKO it.
sNOwBaLL wrote: Shadow Ball? It could work, but I'm for Acid Armor, which makes it much tougher. Alternatively, if you lack a hazer, you can try Haze.
Yeah i'll try that, I accidentally listed Shadow Ball, I actually have Bite.
sNOwBaLL wrote: Looks okay, but you might want to try Agility over Rest or Giga Drain.
I think i'll do it over Rest.
Also, would Swords Dance be good for a replacement for Giga Drain?
sNOwBaLL wrote: You sure you don't want a physical one? It's more effective you know... anyway this is pretty standard for a special attacking moveset for Gyarados.
Well all I can think of for a Physical attacking GSC set is, HP Flying and Return. Perhaps you can post one for GSC, stinks it can learn EQ in GSC.
sNOwBaLL wrote: Personally I like having only physical attacks on Nidoqueen, even though its Attack is only slightly better than its Special Attack. So you can try moves such as Body Slam, Shadow Ball and Return.
I think i'll try Body Slam and Shadow Ball, i've never really been a fan of Return.

Okay, i'll try Headbutt and Double Team for annoying.
I'll also see it I can get Return to work on Sudowoodo, I don't really remember how high it's happiness is, If I can't get Return i'll probably try Toxic.
Thanks for the rate,
{latias}
EDIT: I forgot I had a couple more pokes,
Venusaur @ Mint Berry
Razor Leaf
EQ
HP Rock
Rest
Thinking Swords Dance over Razor Leaf, I really like it because it has HP Rock, which helps with it's weaknesses, stinks it can't learn Sludge Bomb.
Charizard @ Mint Berry
Flamethrower
EQ
Wing Attack
Rest
I'm not sure if I should put Rock Slide and Swords Dance over Flamethrower and Rest.
Jumpluff @ Brightpowder
Headbutt
Encore
Sleep Powder
Giga Drain
Do you think I should put Amnesia over Encore?
Clefable @ Mint Berry
Body Slam
Psychic
Ice Beam
Rest
Body Slam for STAB, Psychic for Fighters, Ice Beam for Ground/Rocks and Rest for recovery
Skarmory @ Mint Berry
Drill Peck
Steel Wing
Agility
Rest
I'm thinking of doing the Toxic and Sandstorm over everything except Drill Peck and Rest.
Venomoth @ Bright Powder
Psychic
Sludge Bomb
Giga Drain
Sleep Powder
I really want to get rid of Sludge Bomb.
Raikou @ Brightpowder/Mint Berry
Crunch
Swagger
T-Bolt
Rest
Politoed @ Mint Berry
Surf
Ice Beam
EQ
Rest
Feraligatr: See Politoed.

Well, having only one Attack EV shouldn't be a problem because any good Espeon stays as far away as possible from physical attacks. Use HP Water, or Electric, or Fire, or Grass, or something SPECIAL.
With the other set, every Dark type ever takes you apart, but maybe with Attractfusion you can dely the inevitable a little longer. You could also try:
Espeon @ whatever
~Attract
~Swagger
~Psych Up
~Baton Pass
Keep Swaggering until your foe's Attack won't rise anymore, then Psych Up and Pass.

thx ill try the espeon moveset.
i was also thinking of raising a skarmory
 @ leftovers
toxic
spikes
whirlwind
drill peck
the problem is that skar doesnt learn spikes in g/s/c, but it does in r/s/e...
is it unethical for me to shark it spikes just to make the moveset work? and will it glitch stadium if i use an "illegal move"?

Actually it doesn't screw up Stadium 2, I sharked a couple of baby pokes with illegal moves, just to win a contest (Round 2 Baby contest), It just shows illegal moves red (I.e Spore on Voltorb will appear red).

I thought Skarmory COULD get Spikes, but if it can't, I wouldn't feel bad about Sharking it, since it can get it later. And you won't hurt Stadium if you have an illegal move, I traded back my Alakazam to get Thunderpunch and Ice Punch and then used it in Stadium 1 and it was just fine.
But the names of the moves were pink on the screen where you pick what move you want to use in battle . . . I thought that was funny.

RaichuLatias
Venusaur @ Mint Berry
Razor Leaf
EQ
HP Rock
Rest
Yep, Swords Dance would be good. Alternatively you can even try toxi-shuffling with Toxic over Razor Leaf and Roar over EQ or Rest.
Charizard @ Mint Berry
Flamethrower
EQ
Wing Attack
Rest
It would be good to put Rock Slide and Swords Dance, but if you need a fire move in your team, then keep Flamethrower.
Jumpluff @ Brightpowder
Headbutt
Encore
Sleep Powder
Giga Drain
How about Attract over Sleep Powder or Headbutt and Double Team over Encore? You can even change Giga Drain to Leech Seed or Toxic. Then you can sit back and watch the opponent take damage as they miss every time they attack you.
Clefable @ Mint Berry
Body Slam
Psychic
Ice Beam
Rest
Your strategy sounds okay. You may keep this moveset.
Skarmory @ Mint Berry
Drill Peck
Steel Wing
Agility
Rest
This moveset is good enough already, so if you really want to have Toxic or Sandstorm the only move you should take away is Rest.
Venomoth @ Bright Powder
Psychic
Sludge Bomb
Giga Drain
Sleep Powder
You can try the usual non-damaging moves such as Rest, Attract and Toxic if you really do not want Sludge Bomb.
Raikou @ Brightpowder/Mint Berry
Crunch
Swagger
T-Bolt
Rest
Thunderwave over Swagger. I don't like the idea of raising your opponent's Attack just to confuse
Politoed/Feraligatr @ Mint Berry
Surf
Ice Beam
EQ
Rest
Psychic over EQ, if you want to focus on Special moves. Other than that it's okay

Ok thanks!
I'll try Attract for since it's attack is 100 lower than it's special attack.
Raikou actually can't learn T-Wave in GSC without a Gameshark, so I guess I'll have to shark it then.
And for Jumpluff I'll try Attract over Headbutt and D-Team over Encore. Jumpluff is Male so i'm not sure on how well Attract will work, so If it doesn't work well, i'll switch it to Leech Seed.
Also do you think I should try this set for another Jumpluff?
Jumpluff @ Brightpowder
Amnesia
Encore
Leech Seed/Attract
Toxic
Start with Amnesia to raise your special defense, If your opponent uses an attack such as Swords Dance, then use Encore, Jumpy has decent speed so it should be able to attack first. Then you can follow up with Toxic and Leech Seed/Attract.
I PMed one like this to paper a couple of days ago, though i'm still modifing/testing this one.

on
ive read somewhere its one of the best spikers around.
personally i think its the best spiker...period.
ive checked on the dex and skar is the only pokemon that can whirlwind or roar an opponent into spikes.
so lay the mines and force a switch for major damage. add toxic into the mix and uve got a toxic-spikes shuffler who can erase enemy's stats, poison all of opponents pokemon and on top of that keep the enemy switching while dishing out loads of damage.
just my personal preference for skarmory but i guess ur offensive version is good too.

Yeah I've heard that about skarm, it stinks it can't learn Spikes legally in GSC, though I might shark it on anyway. I am probably going to get another Skarm (maybe a Shiny) or i'll edit the old one into a Toxic, Sandstorm, Spikes, Attract/Whirlwind/Roar.

Attract on Skarm . . . I like it.
Theory:
Skarm @ Lefties/Scope Lens
~Attract
~Steel Wing
~Drill Peck
~Whirlwind
Physical SweeperSkarm! If something comes up you can't nail, Whirlwind it away. When something comes up that you CAN nail, Attract it (if you can) and then Sweep. This requires breeding with a Dodrio who has both Drill Peck and Whirlwind (RBY TM), but if someone wants to try it and let us know how it works, that would be great.
I do like the Jumpluff. I personally love Encoring non-damaging moves, and paired with Attract, your foe has little chance of getting a move off. Definitely gets a good grade from me.

I can be a tester, if you need someone to paper, I have a Stadium 2, Tons of LV. 100s (1 of every type) and a Gameshark (I guessing you knew that already though.)
As for the Jumpluff I have been testing it and I found it that you can actually use Encore a turn after the foe did as long as you get to attack first, I didn't even know it works like that.
Though you can be in trouble if a Grass/Poison comes along making Leech Seed and Toxic worthless.
Perhaps Swagger could work too instead of Attract, since Skar has great defense it shouldn't be much of a problem.
EDIT: Skarm's Test Results:
Skarm works ok,
Attract managed to stall enough for Skarm to use Whirlwind on some of the female pokemon and switch them, though it has trouble with Electric and Fire types.
Skarm got paralyzed by most of the electrics (Mostly Male) whenever he tried to use Whirlwind to blow them away, He also got nailed by Flamethrower and T-Bolt when he did sucessfully use WW on them.
Swagger seems to work better than Attract since Skarm has a max defense of 418 and it gets those annoying genderless.
So in short,
Skarm works pretty well, it's just that the Attract doesn't work too well since it's speed is a little over 200 and that most pokes use Flamethrower, status move (Attract, T-Wave, etc.) or T-Bolt the second Skarm comes out.
Swagger works better than Attract in this case, since there are so many Electric and Fire pokemon that are annoying and some are even Genderless (Entei, Raikou, Zapdos, etc) that attract won't work on.
Though if you can get Spikes over Steel Wing, it works alot better!

ah right skarmory's greatest weaknesses: fire and electric
ive also this moveset u can test (i can test it too actually lol ive got shark, stadium2, also).
 @ leftovers
spikes
whirlwind/roar (i like whirlwind just cuz its harder to tack it on to him 8) )
hp ground (problem solved, but at the expense of stats)
rest/attract/sandstorm/toxic (the last slot can be any of these depending if u want to be more offensive and annoying or defensive and safe)
i guess the hp ground is good if uve got a gameshark...its easier to get anyways.
