Post subject:  X/Y Tournament-Over-Congratulations to ChillBill!

So, I was thinking we should do a small tournament to test our XY teams against each other. Nothing big, we can do it with 5-6 people. I was thinking of VGC rules, meaning Species Clause, Items Clause and Legendaries/Specials Clause, in 6v6 Singles. Also, I'd like it to be an all-against-all tournament and not a knockout so we all get as many battles as possible. And obviously, I'd rather do it over Wi-Fi, as the main purpose is to prepare us for VGC Rating Battles and tournaments.

RULES:
Battles will be 6v6 Singles
Species Clause is active (no more than one Pokemon of each species may be present on any team)
Item Clause is active (no more than one of each kind of item may be present on the team's Pokemon)
Legendaries/Special Clause is active (Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde and Mewtwo are banned)
A player may not change his team in any way throughout the tournament (this includes changing Pokemon, moves or items)
Battles will be over Wi-Fi unless there are problems
For the battles, the normal rules option will be used so that all Pokemon will be set to Lv.50.
No player is allowed to post, PM, mail etc. any information on another player's team. If you wanna post a Battle Video number, write it down and feel free to share once the tournament is over.

RATING SYSTEM
Currently, the style is Pull (all against all). This may change to 5-round Swiss or 7-round Swiss, if many players are gathered. The player with the most victories wins the tournament.
TIEBREAKERS: If 2 or more players are tied, then the one with the less fainted Pokemon throughout the tournament wins the tie. For the purposes of this, please post the Pokemon left when posting a result.
If there's a tie in the number of fainted Pokemon, then the winner of the tied players' battle wins the tie.
If the two players haven't battled or if their battle ended in a tie, they proceed to a 3v3 Single battle. The winner of this battle wins the tie.

Will the teams be auto leveled, or will they stay where they are now. If I enter, I'll need to find a replacement for Robin, my Xerneas, and I don't have much time to grind during the week. I am interested in this, though.

If we stick to Species Clause, Items Clause and Special pokemon are banned we can just use the In-game normal rules layout. which would auto level all pokes to 50.

Count me in.

Just as Mason said, we can use normal rules, and everything will go to 50. I trust that none of us will cheat.
I'll update the 1st post with entries.

Sounds like fun. I'll join. My team's not completely trained yet, but it's well on its way.

It's good to see so much interest. I'll update the thread with rules. If we get more players, however, I'll change the style from all vs all to Swiss. On that matter, I'll leave signups open for a couple of days.

Alright people! Countdown begins now! You have one week to train your Pokemon and make your team. After that, I'll post the pairings.
Signups are still open until the tournament begins, so anyone who wants to join, just say so!

By XY teams, do you mean our in-game teams, or competitively bred and trained teams?

Post subject:  Re: X/Y Tournament-Signups

Your competitive, obviously.

One week? I haven't even beaten the game yet... Thankfully, I've already fully trained one team member, but I better hurry up and get the rest done as well. Well, time to start speed training!

One more day till the pairings are posted!

The time has come! Here are the Round 1 pairings!

twistedturtwig-NastyNati311 2-0
Kiga-MasonTheChef 2-0
ChillBill-Dare234 2-0
azul-MSbold 4-0

If possible, I'd like all matches to be complete until Sunday, so that the next round can start next week.
Also, don't whine about your opponent. We're all gonna play against each other, so you'll face everyone sooner or later.

Won battle against Kiga. 2 pokemon remaining.

Edit: Since I managed to breed a couple of these in one group, I'd like to add this to the first prize:

Honedge (Male)
Brave @ No Guard
31/31/31/x/31/0

Thank you Mason, for your generous donation.
One more battle left to go!
Also, apparently the tournament is test grounds for the new Rating System. If anyone is bothered by that, please let me or Cherrygrove know.

Sorry for holding y'all up, twistedturtwig and myself both have busy schedules this week so we're doing it sometime early saturday evening. Also since Mason is being generous with his flawless Honedge to the winner, I figure I'll throw one of my 5 IV mis breeds in as a runner up prize. I've got Noibats, Infiltrator Zubats w/Brave Bird and Defog, Hustle Nidorans w/ Sucker Punch and Anticipation Eevees w/ Wish, Curse and Yawn. All have 5 31's, but one in the wrong place. Still awesome for breeding with though :D Second place can take his or her pick of one.

If all goes well, NastyNati and I should be having our battle tonight. And I've been most of the cause for the delay, so sorry to hold you all up this long!
