You know I had to make this one lol. Umbreon is basically a supporter/trapper at best. Also a good BP Team option. Pros: +Great Defensive stats. +Trappassing technique is unrivaled. +Synchronize can own along with Mean Look (Toxic users ftw?) Cons: -Relatively low speed -Standard Umbreon sets make it easy for DDers to set up on (without Charm) -Taunt owns it. Base Stats HP - 95 Atk - 65 Def - 110 Spd - 65 Sp.Atk - 60 Sp.Def - 130 Obviously not the best at sweeping, but 110 base Def can take on a Machamp Cross Chop ftw. Umbreon (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Synchronize EVs: 212 HP / 74 Def / 224 Spd Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Taunt - Baton Pass - Mean Look - Wish / Moonlight Chaosbreon: the standard Umbreon set. I personally see no use in speed, so I use: EVs: 212 HP / 240 Def / 56 SDef Umbreon (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Synchronize EVs: 244 HP / 176 Def / 88 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Substitute - Wish - Baton Pass - Protect / Toxic / Charm / Tickle / Psych up / Snatch / Pursuit / Mean Look Supportbreon. Strays away from max lefties to try to pass a good HP sub. Lots of options in the 4th slot. Pursuit was something I used to use on McGar ![]() Umbreon (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Synchronize EVs: 212 HP / 240 Def / 56 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Taunt / Protect - Toxic - Mean Look - Moonlight / Wish Toxistall Umby. You can also use the original chaosbreon EVs here. Like all toxistallers, Taunt, steel types, and poison types rape it. It's best used with Pursuitgross to get rid of McGar, and EQ would help in taking out steel and poison types as well. Thunderpunch would be ideal for skarm. Umbreon (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Synchronize EVs: 212 HP / 240 Def / 56 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Charm - Baton Pass - Mean Look - Wish / Taunt Charmbreon. Physical sweepers not named Metagross or Regirock can dai now. Some add an offensive attack to try and screw Focus Punch, but that's really a mistake =/. Umbreon (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Synchronize EVs: 212 HP / 240 Def / 56 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) -Torment -Protect -Baton Pass -Mean Look / Wish TP Umby. My own little creation. I haven't perfected the technique yet, so it's generally useless unless its against BP teams, and even then it stalls more than it can support. Sure it's weak to Bug and Fighting, but unless your name is Heracross, it's usually a 2-3HKO to take this guy out. General Counters: Taunt, Anything that sets up with Substitute, McGar, STABed Focus Punches/ Megahorns. Support Options -Zapdos: Gets rid of Tauntridos -Donphan: Tanks against Tauntritar -Gyarados: Takes on Heracross -Salamence: Takes on Heracross -Metagross: With pursuit, it counters McGar quite easily. A more valid option if using Toxistallbreon, as it gets rid of Immunity users and steel/poison types as well. |

I used Umbreon for awhile, and while I thoroughly enjoyed pissing people off with the little monster that owns things, it just doesn't suit my style of play. Umbreon is a great thing to use to laugh at noobs who can't do anything in the face of its defensive powers. It's a huge pain! Umbreon hasn't seen much use lately... It was so annoying to take out too. |

This thing can tank with the best of them. Cursebreon is a rather nice pokemon to use. @Leftovers Careful: 212 Hp, 162 Atk, 136 Def Curse Moonlight / Wish / Rest Shadow Ball Body Slam / Baton Pass / Return This can catch some people off guard as they'll try to throw in something to sub, you curse on the switch and then pummel the sub with the respective attack. I only wish this could EQ for some nice Gengar/T-tar countering. |

O_O daveshan, something you should know about Umbreon... Never use any attacks on it... its attack capabilties are just too horrible to try it... It's only good for stalling/walling/tanking. |

The Idea of Pursuit crossed my mind though...do you think one could devise a set for that to be effective? |

Only real problems I have are the curselax (rest), Blissy (Aromatherapy), and steel types. EDIT:Neutral the problem w/pursuit is that you can't force the opponent to switch out his pokemon. Your best bet is to try to screw with your opponent's stats. Problem there is, Umbreon can't learn sp def lowering moves. |

Problem there is, Umbreon can't learn sp def lowering moves. There are a few select pokemon that switch out, mainly being Gengar and non-CM Zam. It's just something I used to use, which is why I mentioned it. Begin Turn #21 UmbreonShadow withdrew Flygon! UmbreonShadow sent out Shadow(Lv.100 Umbreon)! --------------------------------- Gengar used Substitute! Gengar made a Substitute! --------------------------------- Gengar's Leftovers restored its HP a little! End of turn #21 Alabaster Stone's Gengar: 81% HP UmbreonShadow's Shadow: 392 HP Begin Turn #22 Gengar is tightening its focus! --------------------------------- Shadow used Pursuit! The Substitute took damage for Gengar! Gengar's Substitute faded! It's super effective! --------------------------------- Gengar used Focus Punch! (202 Damage) It's super effective! I laughed when he switched instead of Thunderbolting =/. |

I'll give you Gengar, but the only time I see a non-CM Zam is when it know trick and it's giving one of your guys a CB or Macho brace. And those are getting pretty rare. |

Chaosbreon/Toxistallbreon could own any of those pokemon you mentioned, too. And do it better. (trust me I've done it many times) |

Toxic sucks 'cept in Ubers and UU/BL/NU. OU is like the anti-Toxic. WishSubpassing Umby is nice. Pursuit works on a non-Mc(Ice)Gar Gengar and Dusclops 8) |

Toxic only fails if the opposing team has aeromatherapy or Heal bell. |

to use toxistall effectively, you'll need Pursuitgross I'm afraid. |
