In about slightly more then half of year you will unless your waiting to get the English version which comes out even later then that so worrying is not going to be a problem of yours, lol...

I disagree, if they are based off something cool and they turn out completely crappy people might just hate them more. If they come out completely awesome then most people wouldn't care what they're based off of. Even if they were average, in pokemon people only care about the looks and skill of the pokemon not what they're based off of.

Honestly, I've thought the same about a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh monsters, as well as Digimon looking more like one of the other 'styles'.

I think of them all as kind of like today's Pop music artists on the Billboard.
MOST of them sound the same, and make the same types of music, it's just a matter of who gets to what first.

That being said, I personally wouldn't care but I absolutely know that there will be other people who will care alot about something so small like this, that being said it looks awesome to me, evolving seems to be absolutely neccessary to me or I might become a bit disapointed once I find that out...

Sandshrew's Japanese name is "Sand". I'm sure they'll come up with an original name for Gear for the English version.

Whatever the name, as soon as I get one, I'm nicknaming it Cogsley.

Thank you for not suggesting that as it's actual name, nicknaming is exactly what I plan to do if I obtain a Giaru I want to use in my party, probably won't be able to tolerate it otherwise with it's most likely bad english name & all, I however like Giaru cause it actually sounds like a name so I will probably go with that as a nickname...

as a rule, i nickname everything except for legendaries (just something i've done since i was a kid). and i realize that these names are generally bad, but some of them (maybe one of them??) has got to be at least okay.....
anyways, since we're talking names, what would you guys name the other pokemon?? meguroku or whatever could be.... crocodilius. nom. jkjk... i know i'm bad at this...

I only have 1 & I know it's bad but so is everything else, kind of;

Shimama = Zabre

Yeah, this is why I don't like coming up with names myself...

actually, i like that one. i'd probably come up with something like "electraz" for it, which is bad.

Sense you like it, let me tell you how I came up with it...

1. Shimama looks like a Zebra
2. Learned how Zebra was actually spelled over again which wasn't Zebre as I though it was at that 1 moment I press the Reply button
3. Though about how some names have different looks but are ponounced the same
4. Typed Zebra & then decided to make it Spelled like the vehicle that has a simular flow to it verbally which is Sabre
5. Finally, I turned Zebra into Zabre
6. Profit!...

that actually makes sense....

Sadly that's as good as it gets with me & naming...

sorry dude, but as Savage Hunter pointed out, part of it's name means zebra. but i know how you feel (tsutaaja still looks like an anole to me).
