Who do you think the hardest rival throughout the games are?(not including Gary when he is the champion)Who did you think is the weakest?

I always think the rival from G/S/C is the hardest.
The R/S/E one is always the easiest for me.

All of them kinda have stupid intelligence.

May/Brendan in RSE were pathetic. You don't even get to see their 3rd level starter ;(. Silver (GSC) was ok but nothing special. I think Gary was the best one even before he became the champion.

I think D/P's rival is gonna be weak too.

the GSC rival was so easy I beat him with a spinarak 4 levels below the weakest of his pokemon.

RSE rival was even easier. Gary provided somewhat of a challenage almost every time I met him. And as the champion, he was tough. Certainly the most powerful ever.

Actually, you do see May/Brendan's final starter evo. You have to go to Lilycove Department store while the place is flooding after Kyogre was awakened. (I don't know what Groudon does).

Gary was hardest, definately.

Hardest: Gary cuz he levels up so fast. And when he is at silph Co. he has level 40 pokemon already and i only have 30

easy: I just beat my rival on Sapphire she is so easy

Ugh! Could you really call May/Brendan rivals? I mean come on!
The hardest is definitely the G/S/C one. Then again I'm always very biased on the games. Crystal forever!

Ok we're forgetting Wally.

His story was kinda cute with the Ralts and everything but he also sucked in battle.
When I fought him at Victory Road, I just dished out my (lol) Magcargo and owned his entire team with it. I don't think Cargo was even 5 levels above his pokemon :/.

I think we are also forgetting Steven. He is a kind of rival as he makes it to be Champion in RS. I think it is a shame we couldn't have challenged him earlier in the games...

Hardest for me was Gary in Silph Co. I could never kill his damn Blastoise!

Easiest was probably the G S C. A strong Pokemon with Lightning and Ground attacks destroyed him! Dragonair with thunderbolt was so easy to kill Feraligatr and Golbat, and then a powerful earth attack for Gengar and Magneton. Can't remeber his other ones...

Hardest: May/Brendan in the battle after the Weather Center. All of my guys were at least 5 leveels up on hers and her Grovyle wiped out my entire team.

Easyist: Gary in yellow. My gengar took out the entire group with its Hypnosis/Dream Eater combo. Man that was funny

The Johto one was really easy as well. Maybe it was because i named him Muffin...

[color=cyan]I think Gary is the hardest one, both because of his levels and team variety. Gary is supposed to be kind of a pain in the.. yeah, at least from the anime and how he acts, like tough, rude and with a great willpower and so on. I think he is definitely the hardest rival in the games.

For RSE, I think May/Brendan are - like someone else mentioned as well - below the "qualificatons" for being a rival, at least compared to earlier rivals. I followed the Emerald walkthrough and still when I knew I was going to meet May, I didn't bother to save or heal. This was both because of her ridiculously low levels and lack of Pok

Gary is hands-down the best rival, having brains versus most of his other contemporaries. ><

GAry cuz he levels up so fast and the easiest would be May/Brendan cuz they arnet really trainers...

-I never understood how Gary's pokemon gained so many levels in the 15 minutes between the time I beat Giovanni and the Time I beat Lance. Fighting the G/S/C Rival, so sad that he never got a real name, on Mount Moon was just sad.

I completely pwned Gary every time I saw him except when he was the chapion.

I actually found May quite hard at the time when she is just above Slateport...

The G/S/C one was hands down the hardest; though even he was easy... I loved the final battle in Mount Silver... so DIFFICULT. That evil Snorelax...

I think Gary is and incredible rival because of his great variety, I mean depending on his starter he is going to train either arcanine, exxegutor or gyarados.

I know what your thinking(RSE was the easiest?!) Well I always just seemed to have the wrong pokemon.
BTW. Have you noticed that the games seem to get harder the better quality they get?

Gary is the hardest, everything is harder in R/B/Y i think. Not just Gary. But it's not as big as the others. The Elite Four are almost too strong

May and Brendan are very easy for me no matter what starter i pick
