As much as I would love to fly, pokepoop just doesn't seem fun to clean. I don't think I could afford to feed a charizard either, plus I would be arrested for arson and for eating the neighbors(SP). I would need a pokemon to spy on chicks with...why couldn't there have been a ghost/flying? I know, ditto! Then I could change into anything, even...anything! YES! brilliant! Wouldn't it be nice to know a tornado was going to hit your city before it actually did? Secondly, it does have some battling prowess, and while that scythe is suspiciously sharp (when agitated only, according to Wikipedia), I believe that if taken care of properly it wouldn't go slice somebody in half or something. It's cute, and I can see it actually eating something from this world, so yeah. Plus, wouldn't it be fun to watch it chase its tail? Also, it wouldn't potentially destroy my house or something-the most I can imagine it doing is breaking a vase or something, and considering I have a cat who decided to unlatch the window and fall out of it...yeah.
