I was surprised that I didn't see this topic anywhere. So what is your favorite type of music. Mine is Classical and Jazz. It sounds good and gives off a calm feeling. I absolutely HATE RAP! It is so stupid the singers don't sound that great and you can't even understand what they say. They also swear and curse a lot.

I like: Rock/Alternative Rock/New Wave/Experimental/Ska/Drum & Bass

I dislike: R'n'B/Acoustic/Opera/Soul

Thats it basically.

Favorite: Instrumental/Tribal/Industrial
Hate: Rap.

I like folk, blues, hard rock, metal, classic rock, rock'n'roll with a bit of glam and older pop.

I don't like new pop, a lot of nu metal and rap.

Like: Punk, "melodic hardcore", some of the "emo" bands but not a lot, metal, power pop.

Dislikes: Overly emo bands, rap, hip hop. And Rancid. God I hate Rancid.

Likes: Pop, classical, instrumental

Dislikes: Opera, rock, jazz, rap

I like Death Metel,Metal

Hate:Most of the stuff on the radio

Genres are ugly

I love: Indie Pop, Indie Rock, Alternative Rock, New Wave, Folk, Some Punk, Opera, Classical, Experimental, Some Rap/Hip-hop (when it's done right) and Electronic.

I hate: Most metal and most country

I try not to let genres define my taste, but that said, my favorites are mostly rock/classic rock, and my least favorites are definitely pop-punk/rap.

Favorite in general would have to be hardcore... least favorite is SPANISH (whatever you would call that crap. When I think of the name I'll edit this post).

I like Rock, alternative rock some other stuff.

I didn't name Rap, since I agree, you can hardly call it music. It's just a beat and fast talking really, though I do like Saul Williams.

Love: Classical, Jazz, Showtunes, Alt. Ska, and Punk. Also Mika =p!
Hate: Rap, Rap, Rap. I don't understand how objectifying women can be somehow molded and shaped into a career. Doesn't make sense. At least Britney Spears can read music notes. (i think =p!)

I like: Alternative, Rock, and Metal. Oh, and Polysics and Devo, but their music style is so different, they need a genre of their own.

I don't like: Jazz, and most Rap. Though, I do like Beastie Boys!

Hates: Country. The only genre where every song (I've heard) makes my ears and head hurt.

I hate: Rap & Country with the white hot passion of one million burning suns

I like? Mainly classical, as classified in the general term. More specific, late Romantic, though I enjoy Mozart & Haydn (Classic) and Bach & Handel (Baroque) as well.

I hate? Rap and Rock. Anyone who listens to it, if I hear it, I pity them. Hearing rap gets me very mad.

Likes: Rock, Punk, Alternative, and Metal(as long as its not TOO heavy)

Dislikes: Jazz, Blues, Classical, and REALLY heavy metal stuff, like Slipknot and stuff...its just screaming and lots of noise

Dislike: Rock, Emo

CLASSIC ROCK(led zeppelin, AC/DC, etc.) FTW!!!!
Rap, Hip-hop, and Country are horrible.
