Maybe Dialga & Palkia are fighting but then Darkrai comes in and is the main antagonist, Dialga & Palkia forget what they were fighting about and take care of Darkrai! (Just Speculating!=])

What I find odd is the fact that it is Darkrai in it, and not Giratina. That is the third counterpart, it would be like having a big battle between Regirock and Registeel, and then having Jirachi show up with little mention of Regice.

Yes, but Rayquaza was part of a legendary trio. Darkrai isn't. And what do you mean by "you know what it might be?"

This movie could turn out really good or really badly:

Bad: They fight, Darkrai fights, Ash and co. stop them. End of story.

Good: The above, with lots and lots of plot twists and drama and character development (like how at the core of the 8th movie, it was just another Ash has to save Pikachu story, but with lots of plot twists and character development).

But it will have glorious animation for sure, which is good. Fluid movements with a sense of realism, as opposed to the first movie. DX

Anyway, I hope this one turns out alright. I saw the Lucario movie on youtube, and didnt think it was so bad. Generally, the movies are better than the regualr show anyway

And why WOULDN'T they be? Generally, the shows are just the same old thing: TR tries to steal a pokemon/Gym Leader battle, with VERY minor plot twists. Even though they have been getting better, the average episode will never live up to that of the average movie.

And why does Ash need a girlfriend? Why does pokemon need romance at all? Isn't he perfectly fine with his asexual-ness? Why not leave the woman-chasing job to Brock, he'll be in the movie, too.

Yes, because Brock is the embodiment of romance. The film will be disaster. The graphics will be good, but it will be ruined by Pikachu screaming as it gets taken away, and then some random legendary will appear because of some ancient prophecy.

Meh to the stupid movie.

How can you say that? You have no idea what the movie will be about, except that Palkia, Dialga, and Darkrai will fight. There are a LOT of possibilites that can stem from something so vague.

I don't know about most of you, but I think this actually sounds pretty cool. Of course it would be much cooler if Ash actually caught one of the legendaries for once. Yeeah... This movie could end up really good, or really cruddy, like... wait a minute... I've pretty much liked all the Pokèmon movies up to this point. They're the only anime show I really get to watch.

Hmmm.. whilst the movies are good in their own way, they all fall down by being formulaic and after so many, they get boring. Yes, the eighth movie was good, but it was essentially just another 'Ash meets a legendary that he doesn't capture' film.

Given that there are ten other Sinnoh legendaries that need film appearaces, I'd say we're looking at least six or seven more films.

Umm.....i kinda get why Dialga and Palkia battle, but I still don't know What darkrai has to do with the sinnoh region...

Well, the movie was released two days ago in Japan, so we should be able to see it on youtube sometime this year. Here's what I found on wikipedia:

To participate in the next Pokémon contest, Ash and his friends have come to Álamos Town, where they meet a poor woman named Alice. Alice guides them around the landmarks of the town - the Space-Time Tower and the beautiful gardens filled with greenery and water, and while they are completely absorbed by the sightseeing, they discover that the gardens have been devastated by someone. Then, Baron Alberto, an influential man of the town, comes on to the scene. Alberto is confident that the devastation is the work of the legendary Pokémon Darkrai. Then, from the ominous shadows, Darkrai suddenly appears before them. A never-before known Pokémon, just who is Darkrai? Just at that moment, a fierce battle between Dialga and Palkia is unfolding in an interval of space-time. Space-time is torn apart by the collision of terrible energies. Through the tear, Álamos Town can be seen...

In the square where the Space-Time Tower stands, Darkrai makes another appearance. Using a move called Dark Void, Darkrai puts every person and Pokémon in the town to sleep. It looks good so far, but we'll have to wait and see

EDIT: Dawn has a Floatzel in the movie, so it seems to be after episode 501 "Buoysel! The Road to the Strongest!!". Episode 506 "Pikachu's in Charge?!" was the episode that aired last before the movie released, which was July 5. Heheh, Pikachu's in charge, can't wait to see that one

Even if someone DID videotape the movie in theatres, that's illegal. :/

You can't argue with that. All it is is a repeat of the same story, in a different setting with possibly different people.

Oh, and on another note, I read the movie guide today. The movie sounds absolutely amazing, and there also seems to be a decent amount of wackiness in it. People turning into lickilickies and ghost bibarells? Can't get much more awesome than that.

My only complain is that whilst Dawn is able to be credited with just as much heroism as Ash, Brock STILL fails to do anything. It's enough to make a guy cry. ;(

I don't think this is gonna be too good... But I think the D/P Darkrai event is available in your country when this movie releases there. It's just my theory, I doubt it's true. But anyway I think the 12th movie will have Arceus and possibly Giratina. I'm just guessing.
