Yeah, it's probably true, and they're probably going to release it soon, knowing how predictable Nintendo is.

Thats a pretty good find, and considering that it directs to the genuine Nintendo website, its a pretty good indication that it will be the third D/P game

Nintendo may not release a game with that name, but they do have a habit of buying domains just so other people can't have them.

I wouldn't necessarily say so, because I did another check. PokemonAmethyst.com directs to Nintendo.com/home, but the even more discussed PokemonJade.com was parked somewhere else. I don't think Nintendo just buys random gem names because they might use it in another pokemon game. Seriosuly, don't you think they have planned what games to make in the near future already? I'm positive that two pokemon games with opal or amethyst in them will be released sometime.

As i said in a recent topic, they're probably going to come out with a third Sinnoh soon. I mean, this is obvious. R/B->Y, G/S->C, R/S->E, D/P->*? it makes no sense. THey're also probably going to come out with an water blue as a third in the kanto revisited gen.

Well, if this is the third installment of D/P, we have to look back at previous generations to figure out a release date. How long did it take for Emerald to come out after Ruby and Sapphire? The same with Crystal and Yellow versions. I find it a little hard to believe that the third installment would be out so soon. D/P hasn't even been out for 5 months, seems a little fishy to me...

D/P hasn't even been out for 3 months even. It's way too soon, but fine with me. The sooner the better.

D/P isn't even out in Europe yet ^_^ its only importers (and flashcards) here, so a new game coming out very soon would be ridiculous...

also, im not an expert in computers, but wouldnt it be easy for someone to make up any website and have it redirect you to any other website? you wouldnt necessarily have to own the redirecting website right? just a thought, but i might be completely wrong....

still, it does seem pretty "right" that they would make a third version. hope its got a good battle frontier style thing. in fact i hope there is something like the battle tower where you can use teams of 6 pokemon. that would be absolutely awesome!!!!!!!!!

Though it does redirect you to nintendo... nintendo doesn't have squat on it. You need to look through all of nintendos upcoming release dates to get FACTS. Another great site is IGN, there are renound for there Ratings and have always had all the FACTS. I have heard that they even get exclusives from microsoft and some other places, either way only look there or you will always look stupid.

And what the heck are you talking about when you say nintendo don't have squat on it the game is at least published by nintendo so chances are they might just know a little bit about the game... it's their own choice if they want to divulge information on it, so they will release it first, not IGN (or any other third party website)

Im saying go to nintendo, if anythings released there then it's official. As for IGN, they have the fastest and most accurate team for updates, I wouldn't be surprised if they had the info minutes after it was released. Anyway the point of this topic was that the domain redirects to Nintendo, so it isn't really a fake site, and chances are it has been registered by nintendo - if this is the case then the next pokemon is likely to be called pokemon opal.

Hmmm, it wasn't really directed at the post Spaghetti, more than i twas directed at Joey for misreading my previous post and insulting it. as for the actual topic at hand, in my previous experiences when the name redirects you to a page it redirects you to a page with info. Thus my reasoning for my considering it being "fake". It is quite easy to link a site to another site, there isn't a lot you can do to stop it which is why it's probably still going on. As for the info you put it would seem we will have to wait a year for the new version. depending on if we have to wait for europe as well. As for your involvement in the last post directed at me spaghetti that didn't quite seem right as you to missed the whole point of that mini discussion. Now that you have my actual thoughts on this post you dont need to start up with that again. As for joey I might have gone overboard but it seemed like you missed the whole point and went directly to an insult and even though this site doesn't like flaming I DO hahaha so it was like a perfect chance. anyways im sure no one has hurt feelings over this lmfao but i do love how spaghetti had to get in on it too.

But just to make it clear, this "rumor" is everywhere i've been looking into it for a while but none of the official sites have posted a word on it. With the site re direct its a possibility its just too little evidence to really see anything yet. I remeber this happening with the older version, when some people thought that G/S was going to be Bronze.... and it was Crystal. But we will see.

Look, just because it redirects to nintendo's website means nothing. Anyone can do that. Heck, if Jiggz wanted to, he could make Psypokes.com redirect to nintendo.com. Does that mean that nintendo is considering making the Yellow/Crystal/Emerald version of Sinnoh be called Pokenon Psypoke? Aside from the humor, this means nothing. Come back when Nintendo has a release on their own site saying the name will be Pokemon Opal, or Pokemon Amythist, or Pokemon Barney, or whatever.

Just so you know, http://pokemonamethyst.com/ is also registered by Tucows. The site itsself is probably already being hosted on their servers (http://www.tucows.com). They may even been hosting the domain. This hardly costs a thing, but when Nintendo decides to make a game and they want the domain, they'll have to shell out some money in order to get it (unless they just sue for them like they did with a bunch of Pokémon named domains).

i really dont know if it is an official pokemon game or not..........
