Okay, so I've been wandering around the Safari Zone for close to 4 hours trying to catch all the pokemon I can, and suddenly I see a shiny Nidoran. I'm pretty excited, because the only shiny I've ever seen (except for red Gyarados) was a purple Abra in Crystal. And of course, it tele'd away before I could catch it.

What's the first shiny you've ever caught?

Edit: I also got a Chansey in the exact same trip.

My first shiny ever in my emerald was Exploud (i diden't know how to spell the thing that evolves to Exploud so i just put Exploud) i got pretty lucky finding it but it diden't take me long though.

Back when I played the Japanese PKMN LG I caught a Shiny , but the game was on an emulator so I don't necessarily count as being a very first shiny. The one I do count though was when I played Emerald (on my GBA SP)

2nd evolved once
3rd evolved twice
4th evolved twiced (chained 56)

My first was a Zigzagoon in Ruby. Of course I was about to faint it, but *then* I noticed the red color.

My first shiny was in GSC was a purple Graveler and Drowzee. same day

The only shiny i ever caught as the shiny gyarados in g/s/c

my first shiny was a zubat i caught in sinnoh and today i played on my emerlad game and caught a shint torchic by breeding my blazekien

A few days ago, i hatched my first in my ruby game, shiny numel.

My first of coarse was the Gyarados in Gold. Other than that it was an Unown V in Silver. I did see a Gligar however, a few weeks after the Gyarados in Gold though, but it ran before I got the chance to catch it; this was about two years before the the Unown though.

i've never actully caught a shiny but i have a shiny charzard from gts

The only TWO shinys i have ever seen besides in the GTS are a red gyrados and a green espeon that was in leaf green in the battle tower.......i wish i can have one for my own......

that green espeon is fixed. there is also a shiny goldeen there and one other one (cant remember). i was really annoyed that i saw them in the battle tower and didnt get to catch them until i realised they were deliberate. i saw a shiny raticate and kingler in the battle frontier though, and i was really annoyed.

the first one i saw was a shiny grimer which my wife caught. then i caught a shiny poochyena in my emerald game (cloned and evolved - same with the grimer).

Minutes ago I caught my first shiny, a Cherubi.

I caught/saw my very first shiny just afew days ago. I was fishing near Pacificlog (sp.?) for a Wailord and pulled out a Horsea that didn't look quite right and then this cool little glitter effect happaned. Actual reaction: "What the h..*glitter*.........*GASP*" and to add some icing to the cake...it had a dragon scale attached to it too.

To this date, I've never caught or encountered a shiny. (With exception to the fixed red gyrados, but that hardly counts).

I have, however, encountered pokerus from a wild pokemon on crystal, ruby, and diamond!

I suppose the dice just roll differently for me.

I have two! One was when i was trying to get through a small patch of grass for a shortcut and i saw it. It was a Kricketune. The second was funnier. I had just finished destroying a swimmer one the way to victory road and then i turned and got into the battle. I showed my friend before the battle started and said "Look, i only turned around and i got in a battle!" then i saw his face. He said, "Woah! That's a shiny!" then i caught it. It was a Tentacruel.

Shiny swablu in Saphire. Funny, thing is, The only other pokemon I've caught are a ralts and 2 skittys. apparently good pokemon like me.

i have a shiny electrode in my LF but i lost a bet and now i have to give it up. Also i saw a shiny goplbat today in Victory road but i didnt have any pokeballs! XD

A Yanma on FireRed. I'm thinking about uploading it to Diamond and making it a Yanmega.

Gold: Killed the shiny Gyarados intentionally. Hey, I was 10, gimme a break. But, in Victory Road I saw a shiny Graveler. I didn't know much about shinies, but I said "I may never see something like this ever again". Good thing I had over 200 balls in my pack and that it never used Selfdestruct.
