Does Pokerus ever wear off in D/P?
Just wondering cause' in FR/LG it doesn't.

yes it goes away after three days in the game after you get it unless you put them in the PC

Pokerus's EV effects stay FOREVAR, but it's only contagious for a couple of days.

it is very helpful

In FRLG, there isn't a clock to keep track of the amount of time a pokemon is kept outside of the PC

You can't find it, it just happens. After a random enceounter (ie wild pokemon battle), there is a chance one of your pokemon has pokerus.

i heard it was after battling something like 200 wild pokemon and NEVER run but thats a load of bull cz i battle most pokemon i encounter (unless i wna get somewhere) and i havent got the pokerus

Getting Pokérus after a battle is the same ratio of finding a shiny. After every battle, there is a 1 in 8192 chance one of the pokémon in your team will get it.

since frlg has no time, it can never wear off.............but you reminded me that i have a skarmory in my emerald that has pokerus that i keep in my pc all the time................thats why it still has the virus

having pokerus may be good but it's nothing specail it doesnt raise ev's significantly and it's pressure keeping track of who has it and who doesn't

It doubles the EVs given, which halves the time you need to spend EV training. And you can easily see which pokemon have it by looking at the summary...

Pokerus was a way to make people play the game longer. Ive never had and never will probably.

nah. I read in serebii that pokerus on a pokemon will go away eventually, unless u put in in ur pc and it spreads to all your pokemon. You just get elevated stat increase when u lvl up 2.

Pokerus doesn't spread inside your Box...they have to be taken out and "mix" with your other pokemon (battle together, etc). I have a box entirely devoted to keeping pokemon who I save to spread the Pokerus.

Much much less a chance then 1/1000.

The chance of getting Pokerus is less then or equal to the chance of finding a shiny Pokemon. (I cannot clearly remember right now)

Nope, to my knowledge is it's same for all types.

And congratulations - try and store a Pokemon on the PC with it so you can pass it on to your other Pokemon for training purposes.
