His team so far isn't bad for a n00b team, but I think he should get a Shinx or something better than Pikachu

he should catch an eevee and evolve it to one of its new forms

ash should get a gible or a lucario

From sources, all of ashe's teams had:

I was actually hoping to see Chimchar with ash, not Turtwig. But, Paul started with Chimchar, so....

Anyways, Riolu would be nice, but I would rather see Buizel as Ash's water Pokemon.

That gives Ash six Pokemon-He's gaining them too fast.

He won't be getting Buizel because Dawn has one.

And he's not gaining them too fast, because he hasn't gotten those too yet. :/

Anyways, I don't really care what he gets, as long as it's not a chingling, and it has a personality.

I don't think Ash will be keeping Aipom for too long. It seems to be wanting to do the total opposite things that Ash is interested into, like contests. He'll probably give him to Dawn or something like the one contest girl suggested.

What fire-type will ash get? Theres hardly any in this generation. Eventually, I bet he gets a Snover - that would be cool. Otherwise, the only other Sinnou Pokemon I can see him getting would be Shieldon or Hippopotas to take on his powerhouses like Donphan and Snorlax...

ambipom- apoim will evolve
turtwig-maybe one of its evolutions

as for a fire type i dont know he might get a older one from a previous generation and evolve it into a 5TH generation pokemon kinda lik wat happined or wat will happen to aipom

also he might catch a finneon

Ash and brock should find 2 fossils and ash gets and brock gets

Turtwig is going to evolve, and become his sinnoh powerhouse as a Torterra. Aipom, right now, may seem to be a contest pokemon, but I think that they gave it to him to expose Ambipom to the world. Staravia is there simply because they are using the pattern in which he uses the "Pidgey" set. Riolu will be a great addition, assuming that he actually gets it, as he seemed to have a connection with Lucario, although I have never actually seen that movie. I would have liked to see Ash get the Buizel though, because Dawn already has the Piplup, and it seems like it would have adapted better to Ash than Dawn given its personality. I could see Ash getting a Snover, but not really a Hippopotas, nor either of the fossils, but if he does get the Riolu, he will probably go with a Ponyta or something over Snover to follow his type pattern, possibly even Magmortar to level with Gary and Pauls Electivires, but it is highly unlikely, given his history.

I would predict his team turning out to be the following by the time he gets to the Stark Mountian area:

Pikachu
Ambipom
Staravia/Starapter
Torterra
Riolu/Lucario
Ponyta/Rapidash/Magby/Magmar/Magmortar

Unfortunately, Ash will never give up his Pikachu. This is why:

"Oh no, a Ground type with Volt Absorb! I know! Pikachu, hit it with a Thunderbolt!" PIIIIIIIIKAAAAAAAAACHUUUUUUUUUUUU! "Haha, yeah, you OHKO'd it!"

I think that Ash said that Dawn can use his Aipom during the first contest, remember? I would also expect to see Ash getting a water type, since he did have them before..I would expect him to get one of the old pokemon too...like maybe Giraferig (sp?) or another one like that...I want him to have a Gligar so badly....XP

Ash is Ash... he won't have any advanced pokemon like magmortar because the anime writers are too stupid to realize how to get one. I like the suggestion of Finneon, but that's the only one so far. It seems that some spoilers have been given in this thread..and that's something that I don't like. But I hope that you're wrong. =P
