i got a black nintendo ds lite and im goin to mow lawn tomarrow and get paid so i can buy pearl or diamond. my friend says i should get pearl but i want diamond so i turned to the best source of pokemon opinions, you. give me your best opinion which one i should get and why. thx

PEARL. one of the reasons is that Palkia is better against dialga. because even though palkia isn't super effective against dialga, dialga is a steel dragon type. steel isn't good against water(Palkia's first type). Plus glameow is in this version(glameow is the equivilant of skitty). that and purugly's cry sounds kinda funny.

In my personal opinion, I'd go for Pearl because Diamond tends to be the most popular choice, so on the GTS more pokemon only available on diamond go up then the ones only available on Pearl

It depends, you prefer or . Diamond/pearl's difference is on the legendaries and on the wild pokemon you met.

I have Pearl. Honestly, I don't like Glameow and Pugruly at all, but everything else is all good

I got diamond, mostly because a lot of the diamond pokémon are tougher than the pearl, and palkia is pink.

lol ya plus dark zan water would still only be normal effective and dialga has less types that are super effective my friend was goin to get pearl (as far as i know) but idk if you find more opinions plz tell me because i still havent reely made up my mind

i went with pearl all my friends got diamond and now i feel left out

if all your friends got diamond why do you feel left out? if anything, you now have exclusive trading of pearl pkmns. at least till they start making your traded pkmns have sex.

Looking at the pokemon differences..... and comparing pokemon with "related" if you will or similar (comparable) pokemon from the list (also taking into account the order that they appear in).....(Note its just my opinion and I didnt look at stats...or anything)

You can get pretty much all of the pokemon listed from previous generation games.... so the only comparison that matters is Skuntank>Purugly... so Diamond is the winner ( and I would get Diamond [I dont have D/P yet] because it has tyranitar and I could just import slamence from emerald (I dont have FRLG))

I bought Pearl, because everyone I knew bought Diamond, and I liked the pokemon selection better. Its really up to you what to pick, since the only difference is pokemon selection.

It really doesn't matter. There's not a huge difference between Diamond and Pearl.

It's pretty easy to get a Palkia or Dialga on the GTS. My gf got a Palkia for a female Combee, and I got a Dailga for a Tyrogue.

And if you have the GBA games you can bring em over after you beat the E4. So really all that matters is which of the GBA games you have.
