i'm pretty sure this has been done before, but i'm a zhavric and i haven't seen it on the boards since i started, so here goes.

what are your favorite pokemon attacks of certain types and why? for example, here are some of my favorites.

rock:
stone edge, reasonably accurate and strong.

fighting:
brick break. decent damage and shatters those nasty Light Screens.

grass:
leech seed, it's a really nasty health-absorption move, and
energy ball, it looks cool and is pretty strong.

flying:
air slash. flinch chance with a Serene Grace Togekiss is nasty.

dark:
nasty plot. it's amazing for special sweepers and i like the word 'nasty'.

hypnosis + dream eater+nightmare+dark pulse = pwnage

me likey bouncie!!!!

and um....recover, SD, BP, CM, X-SCI, EQ, body slam, mud-shot, and some more i can't think of, dream eater, spacial rend (just cause tha name is cool)

Ice beam looks cool.

I like Tri-attack too and what about water moves ???!!!

water moves are okay, but i'm starting to like special attacks less and less and leaning more in favor of physical attacks. it seems like all of the pokemon with high special defenses can wreak serious havoc on special sweepers.

oh, i also love metronome.

i've seen it call Judgment twice since i started my game.

Normal:
Hyper Voice/Body Slam are the most powerful moves that don't have disadvantages (e.g. lack of pp and accuracy, recoil, etc.)

Fighting:
Cross Chop and Sky Uppercut are nice, but can miss, while Brick Break is good on power and accuracy.

Flying:
Drill Peck rules! It has more PP than Aeroblast, more priority than Sky Attack, and higher power than peck

Poison:
Sludge Bomb and Cross Poison obviously have their advantages and they are the best!

Ground:
EQ is obvously the fav. of everyone, but Dig actually seems to be much better in MD.

Rock:
Rock Slide and Stone Edge are my personal favs, and I might like Rock Polish if the Pokemon that learn it weren't so horribly slow anyway :roll:

Bug:
Signal Beam is alright, while Megahorn pwnns, but only if it hits.

Ghost:
Shadow Ball is probably the best, though Ominous Wind is quite good.

Steel:
Iron Tail is, save for the accuracy, fantastic. And that seems to be it.

Fire:
Flamethrower is probably the best Fire move, although Heatwave may even things up.

Water:
Surf is the best move in the Water category, while Aqua Tail is close behind.

Grass:
Leaf Blade is powerful when filing out critical hits, but Energy Ball is in a different class if tough.

Electric:
Thunderbolt is arguably the best here, while Discharge also has quality.

Psychic:
Psychic works well, as does Extrasensory, but a sleeping Pokemon would end up KO'd if Dream Eater is there.

Ice:
Ice Beam is my favourite one, full stop.

Dragon:
Dragon Claw and Dragon Pulse certainly get me psyched up, so there you go.

Dark:
Crunch seems to be the only move here that achives my sastifaction.

Lol not rly. That's got to be one of the worst movesets I've seen in my day. :/

But anyways, my favorite move would be Hyper Beam in the G/S/C Series. It just looks so..powerful.

it's probably been one of my favorite attacks in the series since generation 1.

i've never really cared for dark move sets. they can really mess a pokemon up, but they're not so great for all-out assaults. dark pulse and crunch are probably the only two reliable attack moves they have.

steel move sets don't impress me much, either.

but maybe i'm just too hard to please.

Grass : Leech Seed + Solarbeam
Fire : Sunny Day (combo with solarbeam)
Ice : Ice beam
Dark : Dark Pulse
Electric : Thunder
Normal : Mega Kick
Fighting : Cross Chop
Flying : Aeroblast

I have a preference for psychic moves, they're just so... good.
So my favorite move would have to be Psychic. I also love Surf and Flamethrower too, among others that tag well with weather/pkmn abilities.

My favorite pokemon moves are earthquake and flamethower and icebeam.

My favorite moves are Psychic, thunderbolt, blizzard, X-scissor, and finally rain dance

thunder, flamethrower, psychic, nasty plot, calm mind

Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Solar Beam, Flamethrower, Thunder, Earthqauke, Toxic.

Draco Meteor coz it looks cool also hyper beam
