i found a used game cart at EB and it has D on it. should i pay the $ for him? what about how can i tell if he is hacked or not? the stats looked normal, which is to say, high as hell, but im no expert.

compare the stats to those of the Psydex. Also, take a look at its location to help tell if itss hacked.

Assuming it's legit, though, it still may not be worth it. You can probably get a Deoxys over the GTS. Unless it's got a good nature, with good IVs.

Shoot, I got Ruby($12.99) and Emerald($14.99) both used from the local Disc Replay store.
Ruby had all three Regis, Groudon, and a Master Ball. Plus I kept the Sceptile so that I could easily get all 3 starters.

Emerald was blank, but the price was right. GameStop still sells it $29.99 used.

What a deal.

So the point is, it's overpriced, but who cares if the Deoxys is hacked? It's the easiest one you'll ever catch.

Well in my opinion, I would not pay that much for just 1 pokemon, goodness there is someone on this site that will gladly give you 1 for FREE!

Wow... I have to agree with Krisp on this one, paying any money for a pokemon is just stupid. It may only be $20 but if you can actually take the time out of your extremely busy life to look around for a Deoxys I am sure you can find one. So what if you dont have Ruby, that game is old anyways and Emerald is far better.

WTF is that about the goverment, that is a horrible way to compare anything. If a friggin pokemon was actually important then OMFG they would pay for it but seriously... that was just stupid.

i was saying they would disagree. he said NO piece of data. not meaning just pokemon NO means any. such as the location of the president or a password for top secret gov't files. agents have sold out the government for millions (billions?) of dollars to other governments.

You should probably just get a Gameshark/AR instead and hack your own, as there's no telling if the game in question you are talking about is somehow corrupted. If you hack your own, it'll be just the way you like it, without all that extra cost.
Besides, with an AR you can get much more than just Deoxys...you could get anything. It's a wiser investment than just buying a game for just ONE Pokemon, that's for sure. DIY usually yields better results.

You do know Krisp is a Girl. Paying money just for a Pokemon is one of the most dumbest things I have seen someone say. Your better off getting your own GS and getting a Deoxys and other cheated Pokemon.

Really, it depends on how much it means to you. Personally, I'd think it not worth it - save up, buy DP, and get a Deoxys over wifi. You should easily be able to find someone who'll clone one for you, maybe for another legendary (which you can clone for them) But if you absolutely have to have it on 3rd gen...it's your money.

To me, it sounds like you're trying to convince yourself that there's no other way - data can be valuable, you don't want an AR - if the Deoxys is worth $20 to you, just go and buy it. It's just that many of the people on Psypokes disagree with your assessment of value.

You don't think anyone would give you one? I'm sure you can find someone who will over wi-fi. For me someone had sent a Deoxys over to my game so that I would see it. Of course I gave it back, but because of that person I was able to get my own Deoxys off the GTS. So I'm sure someone will give one to you, or at least let you see one.

No, hacking your game doesn't have a high probability of losing your data, the only way to erase it is if you did something extremely stupid.
