There's no age limit to what you like, your too old when say you are. I'm not refferring to a person's maturity, people just like different things then eventually lose interest...

Everyone on this thread is wrong. The obvious age which is too old for Pokemon is 27, which is when you should at the very least be in a committed relationship, if not married already, and solidly in the career which you will follow for the rest of your life. If you're still playing Pokemon at 28, the International Adult Education Agency (IAEA) will find out and put you in a "re-education" program to put you back to rights.

Me, I'm getting in all the game time I can, 'cause I'm gonna have to turn off my DS for good in June when I hit the big two-eight. :(

Wow, really? Hmm, maybe I will end up not playing when I'm 27, although I think the thread means what age do you lose your interest in pokemon.

If you haven't lost your interest in Pokemon by the time you're 28, you've lost the game. The only hope is clinical processing.

I disagree and protest the opposite! :D
I see video games as a stress reliever, a little escape from all of life's hardships (i.e. A committed Relationship/Marriage or a Solid Career   ). I play my DS while lieing in bed to help me get to sleep.
That being said, when you become older and have more hardships and stress, shouldn't you be trying to relieve that stress further? Not saying you'll play video games more, but when you do, it would be a game that guarantees more stress relief then others?
AND if that game so happens to be Pokemon for some individuals, then there shouldn't be a time limit on their enjoyment. I agree, it's all in whether you loose interest or not.
I've been on my Pokemon streak for a good..... 6 months now? And the only thing that's kept me playing that long is my rivalry with Pokemon Ranger (I'll get you my pretty, and your little Milotic too!)
I know that eventually, based upon the increase or decrease of stress in my life, I'll switch to either a milder/more violent/Resident Evil 4-based game, but until then, I'm a Poke-nerd. And Proud. And a little embarassed that I'm Proud. But Proud to be embarrassed for my Proudness.

Yeah! On some other planet, that made sense! :o

Wow... did someone actually take my posts literally?

I was merely pointing out that this is a pretty useless thread. "Hai guise, can you vindicate me for playing a kid's game even though I'm no longer in the target demographic? Kthxbai." It's like making a thread about being too academic to drive a Chevy or too flat-chested to dye your hair. Juxtaposing two relatively unrelated concepts and making one dependent upon the other is ridiculous. Hence my ridicule.

There is no age limit for pokemon because the thought of pokemon ,actual Pokemon keeps it alive. If someone actually makes Pokemon,(hopefully me) and they are cool and are like pets, adults would like them too.Its the thought that makes pokemon so awesome {charizard}

If Pokemon became real, would it be awesome? Yes!!!!!!!!!!! If they are real it would be the same concept as not real. It's like Dragons being real. theyre stupid until they are real? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL I doubt that the target demographic of Pokemon would understand the vocabulary in this post. But it proves to me that intelligent and articulate adults enjoy Pokemon because behind the cutesy exterior lies an incredibly deep RPG with an unrivaled battle system and character customization that has yet to be seen in any other video game.

Seriously, can anybody be too old for anything that they enjoy? Short answer is no.

you know, it may seem like 9 or 10 is the limit before people stop admitting it in public, but im an early teen and i still like it. heck, my friends still like it. just becuz ppl dont admit they like pokemon doesnt mean they still like it. you may not know it, but your friends may like pokemon and you dont even know. (im a die-hard pokemon fan, but i dont admit it.)
EDIT: oh and by the way...

You're nuts. lol

I'll be 25 this year. I plan on buying Platinum. I don't give a fork. I like what I like. Everybody who says "OMG Pokemonz iz for little kidz" probably likes it still, but they're too insecure to admit it.

I'm 15, and still play avidly.
I'll stop when I get arthritis in my fingers and physically can't play.

Its too bad your asking this on a pokemon forum. Too much bias >:o

But imo, as you get older there are things that are more important and things that have a higher priority which I guess sets the probable age

you are never too old to do something

that includes playing pokemon!
i'm 13 goin on 14 and i've been playin since i was 4 with Yellow version
once i understood the concept of the game (age 6) i was hooked
and i still am!

age is just a number used for determining who is older or younger than someone else and for medical records and uses
thats all it will ever be

call me crazy, but i tell people straight up that i play Pokemon
if they tease me about it,i just laugh and walk away with my REAL FRIENDS (thats another story)
if they dont like PKMN,im not gonna tease them (alrite...maybe a little bit...)
geez,i dnt call them wierd or stupid or anything just bcuz they like some wacked out RPG or somethin

the point is,there is no age too old for anything

{unown k} {unown e} {unown l} {unown s} {unown i} {unown e}

anyone who agrees with me,plz step forward

I'm almost sixteen and I've been playing on and off since I could pick up a gameboy.

I even slept with my Bulbasuar plushie last night. It ended up across the room though...somehow.
And even go and get all the freebies they give out at Toys R US.

I think that I depends on the person. It is whether you think you are to old for it or not. Your actuall age has little to do with it.

Age means absolutely nothing. If you like something and think it is cool then you should by all means play it or do it to your heart's content. As for me I have been playing the games since the dawning of Red/Blue, and I am seventeen now and still playing my Pokemon Diamond and I do plan to get Platinum at that too.

I'm going to turn 14 soon and I still play pokemon. It doesn't really matter how old you are to me. I think if a game is good, you should always like to play it. Without pokemon I would have never been a video game completionist, so pokemon is really important to me. Though the anime does kind of give it a bad name, I like most of the movies though for reasons unknown.

I am a Senior at my high school. I love playing Pokemon! Recently i have been able to become more outgoing (mostly because of my seniority) and I use my "power" to show the other kids that nothing is stupid if you like it! I love defending younger gamers who are criticized for playing Pokemon or even video games in general! Those who are reading this should stand up and proudly declare that he/she loves Pokemon! This could help out alot of people who are afraid of admitting that they love Pokemon!

I say you're never to old to play Pokemon. Though the average Pokemon hater will tell you 13 is too old.

Someone at my school called Pokemon gay.

Is that messed up,or is that messed up?

Yea,the show is nice for a while, but even if you "overgrow" the show, (LOL) the games are still freakin' AWESOME!!!
