Imagine you were just promoted Gym Leader. You now have to establish your Gym. If you could replace any other Gym Leader and take over their gym, where would it be? But most importantly, what kind of gym would it be?
Choose your location, your preferred type, and your 5 pokemon roster within that type!
2 "rules"... A maximum of 1 starter pokemon, and no legendary!!
Personally, I choose Water, mainly because they are versatile, which really helps when, as a Gym Leader, you can't switch! Plus, most of them are so cool!
    
And I'd create a gym in Pacifidlog Town. There is no gym there, but there are rocks nearby that could possibly host such a structure.... Oh well.

Gym Location: Goldenrod City. I loved the music of that place. Also whitney is a crying  and needs to be ousted.
Pokemon Type: This is a tough decision. Dark Type.

Hmm... an interesting Question
I would more than likely go with ground types but make sure that most bases of weakness are covered in some way
This would be my team
    
I wasn't a big fan of Bertha but ground type moves can be devistating

Gymleaders only have 3 now as far as I can tell.

well, for my prefernce, i'd have to say water would be my best friend in this situation.
i would definietly be the talk of the town, here would be my pokemon with their moves:
Wailord  Surf
Water Spout
Whirpool
Rest
Floatzel  Ice Fang
Aqua Jet
Pursuit
Crunch
Swampert Surf
Mud Shot
Focus Blast
Aqua Jet
Seadra  Rain Dance
Smokescreen
Surf
Dragon Dance
Now, i'd send out Seadra first, to set the stage. Then just go with the flow from there. One thing one must remember, when a Gym Leader gives you a TM, it usually reflects the one move that most of their pokemon has. So, i'm going to be non-conformist here and break the rules. I'd be the 5th Gym and when being beaten, you'd be given HM Surf, and allowed to use Surf outside of battle. Yay for me!!! _________________

Fire Fang
Ice Fang
Thunder Fang
Iron Tail
Magnet Bomb
Thunder Wave
Supersonic
Thunderbolt
Protect
Iron Head
Iron Defense
Roar
Iron Head
X-Scissor
Slash
Agility
Steelix would slaughter most pokemon with its elemental fangs, then if any Pokemon did knock it out, I'd have Magneton confuse and paralyze 'em while I kill them with my other attacks. Lairon and Scizor would just be back-up.

i would be the gym leader in veilstone and i would use psychic type pokemon.
i would have
 ,
 ,
, and of course
the only moves i am sure of is that bronzong would have hypnosis, dreameater, psychic, and payback. its ability would be levitate. it would never die.

Come on people, focus!
- Gym leaders are never allowed more than 5 Pokemon, with the exception of Emerald last rematches. So lets keep it at 5...
- Gyms always have a single type, except for one, who is only a Leader because Giovanni ran away...

I would be electric for sure! Ideally I would have Zapdos, because he is the coolest ever, but legendaries are out of the question here. So, I would be left with Raichu, Magneton, Jolteon, Rotom, and Pachirisu. Not a choice of power, just my favorites.

I'd use dragon, then I'd piss everyone off by using only the awesome dragons. In other words, Dragonair, Vibrava, Altaria, Dragonite, and Flygon

This is actually hard because I like all the types! But I suppose I'd pick Fire. Or Steel. Or Dragon. Or Grass.

And i'd probably replace Clair in Blackthorn. Purely because i've had a sworn vengeance against her ever since I bought Pokmon Silver.

I'd make a gym at Celestic Town. And my type would be dragon type (execpt Blaziken, because I needed to have a Starter Pokemon).

Personally, I think I'd want to be a Dragon-type gym leader, probably #6 in Sinnoh, before anyone ahs many Ice pokemon to pone me with.
Team:
 (or garchomp, if a lower level)
 (or dragonite)
There aren't many eligable dragons that aren't legendary, so I'd do like the Dragon Tamers in various E4s and use Dragon-like, such as Aerodactyl and Charizard. And charizard could pone any Ice-types they may have brought, anyway. That would give me Fire, Flying, Water, Rock, and Ground to go wit Dragon-type. Look, I know it is meant to be a certain type but there is technically one gym leader that is diverse so I am going to get rid of giovanni's replacement.

Inside my Gym I would just make it extremely complicated to get to me. As I mentioned above to be diverse you have to take over the last Gym in Kanto. At the end I would give out the Hyper Beam - Tm. Look I know this isnt very realistic but let me dream!!!
