Well, i started when i accidentally stole my friend's Ruby. Then, i got LeafGreen. Then, i got my own Emerald and gave Ruby to my sis. Then, we went to GameStop, and i got the ancient Pikachu Yellow Edition(i luv it).
so here i am with my DS and having the greatest time with Diamomd. Though now i really wnat Platinum!

But i ahve a singel question out of curiosity:
What is the one pokemon added to the Sinnoh Dex in Platinum?

I started out with Red. Always picked Charmander, grinded for extremely long times Basically, I didn't know a thing about how to play, well, I figured out the weaknesses and allI completed the game out of sheer outleveling

my first game was the yellow that came with the limited edition gameboy color

I borrowed my friend's red version for a bit before I got a copy of my own. This was before yellow came out.

Pokemon Red. Then Yellow. Then Silver and Gold. Then Ruby. Then Diamond. Then Platinum.

I actually began with Silver, then went back to Blue, then kept it going forward with Crystal, then Gold, then Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, LeafGreen, Pearl, FireRed, Diamond, and Platinum in that order. Oh, and sprinkle in Puzzle Challenge, Colosseum, XD, and Battle Rev in there too somewhere. I still play Silver on a ROM on my comp to reminisce about the good old days. The fact that you could visit both Kanto and Johto remains both unique and one of my favorite features about that game. Don't remember how old I was at that point, but I would guess probably around 10, which means I've been a Pokégeek for a good nine years now. Represent.

Emerald -> Ruby -> Diamond + Pearl -> Fire Red

So I started out with Advance.

I started out with Crystal when my cousin gave it to me for Easter (dont ask ), and it is still my favorite Pokemon game to this day. (Killed him in my first account! )

i started with red then i got yellow and i was only like 6 lol

I watched the show when I til I ws 4, then my mom said it was too violent, and didn't let me get any of the games when I got a GBC a year later (w/ Mario Bros., go figure). I finally got a game near the end of October, 2007, and i got LeafGreen and Diamond, my first 2 pokemon being Squirtle and Turtwig (turtles). Back then, I couldn't even remember Charmander's name, I was such a n00b. I'm not sure which I played first, though, so I didn't vote in the Poll.

i started with red version and chose charmander becasue it looked the coolest even tho it was the hardest to start out with. ever since the fire type has always been my starter

Sapphire was the first Pokemon game that I owned (though I did play the older versions on my friends' consoles).

Overall, the Sinnoh region has more features, but I liked the storyline and Pokemon in the Hoenn region more (especially the Regi trio). I think the diving ability should have been preserved to the fourth generation games.

My experiences went,

Advanced -> Metallic -> Colors -> Jewles

I never played the remakes of RBY, I heard there was much to be desired.

I started with Ruby, and then got Diamond.

I started out with red when i was like 4/5, and being so young i mis read the realease pkmn option and thought it said raise, bye-bye =(

I started with Red. My dad used to play Red and Gold too.

Yellow.

So first gen. This was when I was in love with the Pokemon anime and heard Yellow had cameos from actual gym leaders like Brock and Misty. I was also eager to do the Missingno cheat, except they fixed it in Yellow so I was a bit disappointed. Still, it got me hooked.

I got Blue, first game. First pokemon: Squirtle....I died a little inside the day I sold my games so I could get the new pokemon games :/ i traded most my pokemon from blue to red, then to yellow, then to silver, then gold, and then finally crystal. It was a sad day when i had to sell crystal

I started out in the best generation:
Gold/Silver

That gold cartrige was so bealtiful!

I found Red literally laying on the side of the street. I asked the neighbor kids and no one claimed it, so I kept it.

'Twas the start of a new era.

Yellow Version. My grandma bought it for me for my birthday when pokemon was really starting to become popular. At first I didn't really care, but once I started playing it.. Wow. I've owned ever pokemon game at one time or another (aside from DPP; I don't own a DS, but I'm gonna get one soon), and right now, I'm playing Crystal Version. I'm trying to get the odd egg to hatch into Elekid.. Haha. Yeah.

I started playing Blue, first Pokemon was Bulbasaur and found it easy to train.

But I was still an 8 year old noob back then.

It was sad I didn't finish it because the Gameboy color was my neighbor's and I was only borrowing it for a week.

Now I play the 3rd gen ROMs on my computer...
