6. FRLG = while 6 is usually my favorite number, not here as it is my least favorite number here & the owner of this rank has it because even though the original RGBY Versions have what is now terrible music in comparison to other versions, playing FRLG is even more boring then playing RGBY even with the upgraded music which I didn't really like better then the original music anyway so it is the worse in the main series music to me

5. RBGY = with what I said above I only have this left to say, great music but not in my favorite way, it is just too old skool sounding to be anything other then where it is on this list, number 5

4. GSC = what to say, what to say, why this rather then DPPt, well cause there is no awesomely amazing track among them except for Suicune's theme in Crystal which is really kind of been put into HGSS & all of the remaining have more then 1 great track in their arsenal so with that said

3. HGSS = aww, so close but no, nope, your getting 3rd place Johto remakes & why, too much metal in places where it just wasn't needed & also for trying to use it to make your music better which is just stupid when instead you could have just made more themes like the ones playing on Route 47/48 & the Safari Zone Entrance...you also ruined one of the very few tracks I liked from the original GSC which was the Rival Music for crying out loud you came on a little too too strong with the metal approach which I still hate very much even today(some things you just don't get used to) & could have did better on Lugia & probably Ho-oh's themes cause they just don't exist to my ears, even with all this & maybe more said I still have to give you more props then all of the above cause the GB sounds not only made most of my favored tracks better but made some others great again as well even if you had to wait til after story to use it, & also cause the tracks you properly used the metal additions well on were just fantastic like the Gym battle music, Team Rocket's themes(all of them) & some of the brand new music so props there, that's it I guess

2. DPPt = what could have possibly put this here instead of in 3nd, well, while HGSS has better tracks, DPPt has better tracks without the need of using something like the GB sounds & thank goodness they don't have nowhere near as much metal as HGSS, I like only the following themes in DPPt though;

Previously stated theme, Sunyshore City's theme, Gym Leader battle theme, Elite 4 battle theme, Frontier Brain battle theme
both Cynthia's battle & confrontation themes & Team Galactic's grunt & commander's battle themes

1. RSE = I will explain myself here, firstly overall I think they did ok with the music in this game as the only music I remember absolutely boring me to death was the trainer battle music(you know it sucked now agree with me already, lol) but other then that, everything else was at least decent with some notibly good ones which was;

Wild Pokemon battle theme = should have been the trainer battle theme like in the anime cause it was times better
Theme that is playing while it is flooding in certain places = It fitted to the senario pretty much perfectly
Gym Battle Music = thankfully this was good cause otherwise I wouldn't have a good first opinion about gym themes otherwise
Kyogre/Groudon's Theme = I don't know why I like this theme but I did cause I though it worked here

I would like to note that on sundays you on HGSS you can tune you pokegear toDJ Bens station to listen to all the sound tracks from GSC, even the title screen theme
HGSS gets my vote because You have sound track from alot of generations, Including groudon/kyogres theme, and the legendary beasts, if you have GB player you can hear their GSC themes

Even though they're both not options, I'd say Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness had the best music in my opinion. Favorite tracks include: Citadark Isle, The Under, Colosseum's Credits, and both game's final battle.

Number two would have to be music from RSE. My favorites from that are: Frontier Brain battle, Underwater, Elite Four battle, Route 111 (the desert), Mt. Pyre Outside, and Archie/Maxie's battle.

HeartGold and SoulSilver, they have awesome music.

My favorite music came from generation 3. It's hard to name my favorite song, but it's probably the rival battle theme. Next would be generation 2, then 1, then LG/FR (I sort of like the 'retro' feel to the original music). Next comes D/P/P. I haven't played HG/SS yet, so I can't really compare it. I will say though that pokemon has some of my favorite video game music.
