i don't see how fighting and poison disagree? maybe i just don't understand what you mean, but anyways, i can't really imagine a bug or fighting legendary, just because bug is uninteresting and doesn't have many strong moves, and not alot of strengths, but poison i can think of. and i bet that may be the mascot for the 3rd game.

it does look like the above description, in a way, tho... kinda a more badass luvdisc. for instance, when togepi evolved, it lost the tan parts, and grew wings. if this is a luvdisc evo, then luvdisc's pink spread, and grew wings/dorsal fins. interesting, though....
however, i somehow doubt that it will be a luvdisc evo. on another thread, i mentioned how maybe none of the previous pokes will be in this new game, and all of the pokemon will be new (or the ones you find in the wild, at least; the ones from dreams don't count). for this to be a luvdisc evo, there would have to be luvdisc, which would be.... against my theory.
on another topic: has anyone else just completely lost track of which japanese names belong to which?? it's kinda hard to remember so many... i keep having to refer back to Frost's list any time someone only uses a name.... lol

i agree with Rex, i remember reading that there will be no other pokemon from the other regions, that this is gonna be a region with it's own pokemon, excluding the pokemon in dreams. So why would it be a luvdisc evolution? and sure it looks like one, but its a lot fatter and meaner looking and has wings. it may just be heart shaped but be like psychic/flying or something.

Honestly guys, how could that NOT be a Luvdisc evo. LOOK AT IT! Hopefully it has good stats.

Luvdisc was lame, thats why. it was just one of those pokemon that is there. Something they came up with to fill up the space. how many of you honestly thought Luvdisc was a cool pokemon. I know that i didn't even think Luvdisc needed an evolution because it sucked. and theres quite a few pokemon that have no evolutions but sucky stats, just because they're a basic pokemon.

that's what i always thought... but the new poke could be another take on it as well

Oceanic Pokes appearing in numerous coastal regions makes sense.

Well ACTUALLY...I like a reasonably good looking team so i'd much prefer ones that look decent (from my point of view) and since we don't know much about this pokemon, that's the only bad point about it that i could point out...And i didn't say any of that. I just said i disliked the colour. No particular reason (definatly not the reasons you hinted), i just think it's not a nice colour.

And I, for one, choose my teams solely based off of aesthetics at first. It's only after I pass judgment on looks that I delve into the technical side of training.
I fully understand that both Dragonite and Lucario are very good Pokes, especially for my style of battling, but I refuse to use them because they look like crap, imo.
I stand by Darkrai-follower 100%.

Pink or not, that pokemon has a really good design, and I would proboably use it in battle(if it dosen't suck.)
