yes, wooguru sounds much better. of course, that's why we have nicknaming ;-) on another note, equinoxe made a really cool drawing/painting of wargle.

i hate event pokemon. it's just another way for japan to laugh at us cause they have more events then we do, so they get more pokemon. not fair if you ask me. especially if you think about the fact that some people don't have wifi. sure all the DS's can get wifi, but not everyone has access to it. if they would just stop being douchebags and just let everyone be able to catch them in game, or just have to do some fancy mission thing, then everything would be nice and happy. WE DONT NEED WORLD WAR 3 JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE 5 MILLION EVENT POKEMON THAT AREN'T EVEN WORLDWIDE. I'm done ranting and complaining, go on. and wargle is funny to me. it sounds like not a noise but an onomatopoeia. i don't think i hear people say "wargle" but rather hear that when they have a really deep burp after eating one to many quarter pounders.

I'm just hoping the Pokémon aren't as imbalanced as they were in Diamond/Pearl.

Also, so far I think there are too many Psychic-type Pokémon in Isshu.

I'd have to say that bug type pokemon with that leaf on its head looks more of a Bug/Grass type to me...

Hey, I recently read this:

-"The creator of the world, Arceus, is based heavily on the Chinese creation legend of Pangu, the first man who emerged from a cosmic egg when the forces of Yin and Yang balanced. Read that last part again. This, plus the games’ trend of an ever escalating cosmology since Generation III, has me worried."

Despite previously thinking that we would be downscaling the legendaries power and roles in controlling the world, I am now slightly worried that we will end up with something even more powerful than God; the personification (Pokemonification?) of the very powers of balance in the universe, Ying and Yang, does anyone else worry what we might end up with in Gen 6 or 7 (if it goes that far), or how contrived the storyline might become?

uh, reshiram is the Yin pokemon, and Zekrom is the Yang pokemon. And i don't see anything worrying about having balance, or even about a legendary being more powerful than "god" (quotes because arceus is a god of sorts, but not necessarily THE God). I think of it as, Arceus created everything, but maybe he's not the one controlling everything (greek parallel: Cronus, leader of the Titans, created the gods, who then overthrew him and ruled the world; right?). but either way, it doesn't really matter....

I just realized something kinda unrelated to what ^you guys^ are discussing.

All of the old regions were based off Japan (roughly). The new region is suppose to be part of China (supposedly).
The message seems to be leaning towards leadership, control and going green.

Is Japan trying to tell China something?

Personally, I'm interested in the typing of the new legendaries so far.
Resisham: Dragon/Fire
Zecrom: Dragon/Electric
Victini: Psycic/Fire

Water wont effct Reshisham, because of the Dragon typing and Victini won't have the bug weakness, I think.

On the new pokes:
the flying squirrel looks alright; hopefully it's equally as good in-game.
hihidaruma pre-evo: no comments
season-change-poke: interesting idea. probably kinda like castform, i would say, solely in the appearnce-change aspect.

on gigaisu: maybe it'll be the "replacement" for graveler or geodude in caves??

I don't know where you learned your types, but Water does Damage to dragon type pokemon. Also I'd like to congradulate Nintendo on finally making a Winston Churchill Pokemon!

EDIT: Apparently water attacks are not very effective against dragons, but in Reshirims case, the not very effective and super effective balance out. So sorry sailorsilverfire.

Spending one of the last few non-ranking posts until my 1000th to say FLYING SQUIRREL IS AWESOME. Gigaiasu, on the other hand, couldn't be a more bland Rock-type if GameFreak tried. And Darumakka does nothing for me, just like its evolution. Shikijika's type made me squeee with joy though.

The current list:
01. Zoroark: Dark-type kitsune - silhouette revealed on February 4 (Pokemon Sunday); fully revealed on February 10 (March 2010 Corocoro)
02. Zoroa: Dark-type baby fox - fully revealed on February 10 (March 2010 Corocoro)

37. Emonga: Electric/Flying-type flying squirrel: fully revealed on August 6 (Searcher Bus tour)
38. Darumakka: ?-type baboon/daruma doll: fully revealed on August 6 (Searcher Bus tour)
39. unnamed Grass-type: shown alongside Darumakka on August 6 (Searcher Bus tour).
40?. Unconfirmed Pokemon: green bear-like Pokemon with unknown type - figurine revealed on July 5, but might be fake (Bandai figure)
41?. Basurao: Pokemon said to have Aqua Jet and Uproar in a Japanese blog on August 6.

And before people whine about seeing so many new Pokemon before the games are out, Corocoro leaks in the next few days will probably be the last hurrah for new Pokemon until the games come out next month.

I hope Emonga doesn't evolve into Pachirisu, but there's always the chance. And it does make some sense. Look at this.

Pachirisu: Electric-type squirrel
Emonga: Electric/FLYING-type FLYING squirrel
Plus, there is some resemblance. The yellow cheeks, the white squirrely body, a slight change in the head pattern, and the same hands and feet.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but that piece of information has us screwed.
And unfortunately, Broccolimon may not be real. Stupid prankist people. >:(
