so i'm supposing the unnamed pokemon in that picture with the bunny and the scary fish is a mid evo of that hihidaruma thing? it looks cute, since it has arms and legs, unlike it's blobish little brother. and the bunny is awesome. lol, as is the fish. scary, but a nice addition to our list of seemingly disturbed and angry pokemon from this gen. :D

lol. no, i mean not all of the pokemon are, but theres a handful. like hihidaruma, the fish thing, the chipmunk, the swan looks pretty angry, as did the heart thing in the picture of it battling (but the nice artwork made it look nicer). hopefully there's more, cause they're humorous. but the flying squirrel is EXTREMELY cute. (much cuter than pachirisu, but lets not go back to that conversation)

You're right, I just needed another excuse to post a "Need I remind you of..." posts. Anyways, I like the evil green fish. It looks like a real angler fish, in contrast to Lanturn.

I sure hope that flying squirrel is good in battle, I'd love to OHKO a Kyogre or something with it

The rotational battle is where you choose 3 pokemon each but the battling is technically 1 on 1 but each turn you can rotate between the three, only having one turn (between the three pokemon, so you dont use 3 attacks on 3 pokemon).

I can see some stratagies with this new feature. You could predict an attack and rotate the field.

But the foe, also, can rotate. Meaning one of you is going to need to guess which of the three the other will use. So you cant exactly loo at their 'pikachu' and then switch to a 'golem' because they could switch to a 'blastoise' the same turn. It would be very hard to predict your opponents strategy.

uhm...unless i misread the on the main site, i think the battle rotated on its own, you dont choose who you rotate to, but it goes in some order...i think...of course, like i said, i could have misinterperated it.

Main Site wrote:
Rotating 3-on-3 battles are a new mode where you must carefully chose which of your 3 active Pokemon you want on the front line to do the attacking and defending. Carefully calculating which of your opponent's Pokemon you'll be actually attacking during a turn further compounds the franchise's Rock-Paper-Scissors routes. This is in addition to the freely-rotating form of regular 3-on-3 battles.
This was the only info i could find on the main site on rotational battles....So it doesnt actually say.
But on another very reliable source (i cannot name for filtering) says...
Quote:
Another new battle feature is the Rotation Battle. This battle is set out like a Triple Battle but has a brand new means to battle. Here, like with Triple Battles, you send out three Pokémon. However, the stage your Pokémon are on can rotate. You only battle one Pokémon versus one Pokémon with the other Pokémon pushed at the back. However, when you're battling, you will have the ability of rotating the stage clockwise or anti-clockwise making another of your Pokémon the main Pokémon you intend to use. This does not take your turn away and you have the ability to attack immediately with your new main Pokémon. The rotation appears to be the first thing that happens in the turn so Speed is calculated after the rotation.

Plus, who knows if GameFreak even thought about that before they finished the game...

Mhm, GameFreak is totally ill-prepared, and anything they release is clearly not thought-through in the slightest. Ever.
Ha, sorry. That was harsh. But seriously. =P

And...what do you have in mind that could replace berries?

Lol, Idfk. I'm probably the LEAST creative person of everyone who takes part in these forums.
I would just suspect that if they're 'banning' berries to dream world and trade-ins, they're probably gonna have a replacement that's way better.
Or, quite possibly, they'll reward you for going the extra mile to get berries by improving the berries themselves.
Example: daycare -> breeding center

I'm pretty sure the entire point of the Rotation Battles, is that you can choose to rotate, because this allows for a much different style of gameplay and battling etc.

Spending one of the last few non-ranking posts until my 1000th to say FLYING SQUIRREL IS AWESOME. Gigaiasu, on the other hand, couldn't be a more bland Rock-type if GameFreak tried. And Darumakka does nothing for me, just like its evolution. Shikijika's type made me squeee with joy though.

The current list:

11. Munna: Psychic-type baku - fully revealed on June 11 (July 2010 Corocoro)

31. Mushaana: Psychic-type baku - fully revealed on July 11 (August 2010 Corocoro)

Is the Munna line really based on aku? Aren't they more of the Japanese Incense Burners called koro?

No, I'm pretty sure they're based on baku.
Those are the same things Drowzee is based on - those things with the noses - they're related to dreams and pretty prominent in Japanese folklore.

(If anyone who's actually Japanese notices I'm wrong, please correct me lol.)

Here are pictures of Japanese incense burners that look like Munna. Actually, a thread from another site managed to come up with a better picture, complete with actual pink flowers, but anyway.

I was thinking about seasons, and wondering if they would make a "transition" between each instead of one day it's colorful-leaved trees (fall), and the next there's 5 feet of snow on the ground, and all the trees are missing their leaves. For example, the last couple days of fall, you begin seeing small amounts of snow on the ground, and there is a minuscule (1-5%) chance of finding wild Pokemon from Winter.

That'd be B****IN!!!
Plus is makes sense taking into consideration that the seasons will last a full month. That leaves plenty of days they could designate to transition stages.
Please.

Also, this brings up another question... What happens if you're standing outside when the change takes place?
On June 30th at 23:59, then July 1st at 0:00...do you have to go indoors somewhere or turn off the game?
Or will you see it change?
Will it be gradual, or instant (like when the time of day changes the lighting)?

I love the flying squirrel Pokemon so far; unfortunately it will most likely be this region's Minun/Plusle/Pachirisu with **** ass stats and no evolution to become useful, so I won't like him nearly as much. :(

Why does Gamefreak always screw over the cool Pokemon, but makes supar powerful!!1 evolutions for stupid Pokemon like Beldum and Gible? (their evolutions are retarded, too)

this

though i actually happen to like metagross, simply because it's an interesting design.... but i absolutely despise garchomp's design. but hey, you never know; the squirrel thing could wind up being decent. or having an evo that's more useful.

YE SHALL NOT MAKE FUN OF METAGROSS! Ye shall make fun of Garchomp all ye wishes but Ye is not allowed to make fun of Metagross publicly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) ok, well anyway...its your opinion but i dont see why you dont like metagross, but then again others may not see why i dislike other pokemon so...yeah like i said, your opinion.
But anyways, i hope that flying squirrel is good, maybe not...probably not but hopefully it is. But it doesnt appeal to me much right now...but new pokemon or new anything actually may take some getting used to :)

I want to know if the character's cloths change with the seasons. That would be really awesome, but It probably won't happen.

The girl's going to freeze her ass off if not. lol at the short shorts. if it does, they might introduce character customization, which wouldn't be a huge deal, but would be pretty interesting.
On a side note: since the tour bus is going around japan, that means they're just trying to produce the games now, right (as in, at factories for shipment)?? maybe someone who lives in japan could play the game and tell us about it.... but it probably won't happen, so....

I can see her catching Pneumonia in her shorts! Side note, you're right about the side note.

Wouldnt be a huge deal? It would be sweet! Finally some choices besides in PBR!!!!! But...(i havent) if u look at the pics of the different seasons, however small they may be, that would be answered. If they dont this gen, hopefully next gen. Unless your a believer in 2012, but im not so, LETS GO 6th GEN! Or 5th gen, yeah lets make that fifth gen!
