What's happenin' Forum?! (RayWilliamJohnson quote? You decide. =3. Lol.) Anyway, (Welcome to this week's episode of EqualsThree. Jk.) I just wanted to know if there are any other guitar players on Psypoke. Doesnt matter to me what kind of music you play, but if you want to know, I LOVE playing Classic Rock. Zeppelin. Rush. Floyd. Etc. I kinda like playing Beatles, but I like listening to them more then playing their music.

Just in case you be wondering, im not in a band. Most of my friends play and relatives play guitar. Just like me. Go figure. The only exception is my little brother, who's been playing drums for like 5 months. He's not gonna be playing anything with me anytime soon, partially because I'm playing songs that I just mastered after 3 yrs of practicing. Yay? or Yay.? <-With a period. Lol its pretty fail.

Yeah, I play a little.

I have a cheap and nasty guitar with a cheap and nasty amp. Also, a quite decent acoustic guitar as well. I meet up with a very old friend of mine (who plays bass) and we jam to some songs, sometimes making our own up if we have nothing better to do. I play songs ranging from R.E.M. to Metallica (pretty diverse, I guess?).

Would I rate myself as a good guitar player? Hmm, probably not. I'd certainly say I'm decent.

Im trying to teach myself, but I suck. I'm not really a perfectionist either, so once i get the gist of the song (aka i can play all the notes with disregard for timing) I think "good enough" and then I try to play something else.

My favourite song to play is creep by radiohead because its so easy

Also sidenote but i cant stand RWJ

I have a good way for you to pick up some songs. Try these 2 links:

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ -- Guitar tab website.
http://www.grooveshark.com/ -- Completely free music listening (NOT downloading) website. Tons of songs.

And haha c'mon. I love RWJ. EqualsThree cracks me up! Haha so does Smosh.

I got curious as to what songs I can actually play all the way through, making no mistakes. Basically, which songs I have MASTERED! Although for the vast majority, I've added a few parts in here and there so that I think it sounds better. Meh, it's artistic license.

Miserlou - Dick Dale (Not many people can recognise this song when they see it written down. Trust me, YOU KNOW THIS SONG!)

The Passenger - Iggy Pop (Classic, and very easy! It's got like 4-5 chords in it!)

Nobody Loved You - Manic Street Preachers (Just learnt this this morning. **** love this song.)

For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica (The easiest Metallica song to learn, in my opinion.)
Ronnie - Metallica (Sounds sort of Bluesy.)
Wasting My Hate - Metallica (**** awesome song!)

Knights of Cydonia - Muse (Instead of having fancy effects, I just tremolo picked the entire song. Really good practise for tremolo picking.)

About A Girl - Nirvana (As with the vast majority of Nirvana songs, this is an easy, cool song.)
Come As You Are - Nirvana (A very simple main riff that sounds really awesome.)
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana (Come on! Everybody needs to learn this song!)

Wonderall - Oasis (THE beginners acoustic song.)

Losing My Religion - REM (Beautiful song for acoustic guitar.)
Man on the Moon - REM (Works for both acoustic and electric. Was the first song I ever learned.)
Orange Crush - REM (Very cool sounding song.)
Supernatural Superserious - REM (Another song with, like, 4-5 chords in it.)

Cool! Nice list of songs. I love to just sit there with my guitar and play songs all the way through. And when I like stuff like Rush, it's a good feeling when you can play one of their songs all the way.

Necro powers? Been a few months :P I suck, not gonna lie, the only songs I can play are simple as hell.

Ode to Joy, does it even count? It's so easy.
Brain Stew-Green Day, it's only a few chords
Summer Lovin'- Grease, please don't judge me :P
For Whom The Bell Tolls- Metallica

Really, I haven't tried much other stuff, I'm working on Eruption by Van Halen right now, it's not as hard as it seems

Ahhh, I've picked up the guitar a few weeks ago that was gathering dust in my room. I've been playing some Muse (Knights of Cydonia is my favorite) and some songs off of Colors by Between The Buried And Me(I have the guitar songbook for the whole album.) :) I really really suck, but it's fun attempting to play hard songs.

EDIT: Oh crap, I didn't realize how old this thread was. Ooops. hahaha
