I am late with this but I guess I am back until X & Y dulls out again, I will try to eventually jump start my trainer's thread again in "Pokemon Center" but that will wait until I finish Pokemon Y business as in becoming Champion in that game(again)...

Well, I haven't been around for a long time. Now, I won't have time for this place.
I probably won't be back ever again starting autumn, so I might as well get this over with. This summer, I'll be training with a friend, as the two of us will be moving to Texas for BASIC training come August. I made this decision after the realization that I can't make it through college. I'll be joining the Air Force, defending the United States. I won't be able to reach this place much, if I can even find the time. It makes me sad. I have been a member here for nearly 2.5 years, and this has been my home on the Internet for awhile. I was online at least once every other hour at one point in my stay, but that seems like a lifetime ago. If I ever talked to you extensively, know that it's because I consider you a friend. If you would like to stay in contact, PM me, and I'll throw my Skype name your way. Goodbye everyone. Wow, I haven't been on here in months. I just got the sudden urge to come on here again, especially since I just restarted Platinum two days ago. I haven't been able to play video games in a while too, but now that I'm on Spring Break, I'll def have the opportunity to. Sorry for the extremely long leave of absence!

Since my birthday last year, the site hasn't updated at all, and people have been slowly trickling away from the forums over the weeks. It's sad to see another prominent member of the community announcing his retirement but it is understandable that you find yourself drifting away. It was great having you around and the community certainly benefited from your participation in the Safari Zone, Battle Tower and everywhere else you contributed. It would be nice if you could pop in (if not here then in the chat) from time to time but if we don't get a chance to chat again I would like to wish you good luck in your future. Samurott/Haunted Water, I don't know if you'll read this but things were certainly interesting around here back in the days when it seemed like you posted 100 a day and (with time  ) I enjoyed having you around. I don't know if everyone will agree but my observation is that you've matured quite a bit since the day you joined until now. I hope things work out for you in the Air Force. So, to make it official, I'm back for now. However, I bring with me news. Due to my ADHD, I will be enlisted as an EOD in the United States Air Force at the end of June, a month longer than originally planned. I'll still be around for about a year afterwards, but, depending on how our government acts on its foreign affairs, I could be gone for a long time after that.
What all of this means is that, instead of sitting in a cockpit or on the ground in an A/C office, I'll be boots on the ground with the Rangers and Marines in Joint Operations, defusing bombs. I just became a member here. I've played every generation, except for the latest generation 6 (X and Y). I'm hoping to buy it sometime next week.

Jesus, it's been a while.
This place used to be the majority of my social life. These days, I don't even have time to play video games of any sort, let alone devote hundreds of hours to Pokemon :/ . But I got bored tonight, and wound up stumbling back to an old haunt. I doubt many people are still around who remember me, besides the group on IRC. Scrolling through some old threads, I realized that I'm kinda sad that I haven't been around to watch this community grow. So, I decided to write a sappy message, because this is the Internet and I can do whatever I want, dammit! I'm not back, and probably never will be; but I just wanted to say thanks to the people here. Whether you realized it or not, you helped me get through a rough time in my life, and I have been on quite a journey since then. I no longer recognize the young high school kid who spent all his free time doing homework and jumping on the forums here, but he helped me become who I am today. I considered many of you my friends, even though we had never met, or seen each others' faces. It's been quite the journey getting here, even if it isn't where I thought I would be five years ago (holy **** it really has been a long time). So again, thank you. Hopefully this community continues to grow, providing friendships and adventures to newcomers, as it did to me. -Rex _________________  |
